You have to remember that YD is pregnant with JH’s child. He has suspected the baby is his but she has denied it and TK claimed it was his - and as JH is leaving Korea for the US he sees a picture of him and YD and texts her that he is sorry for what happened and that he loved her….so I think he may have some lingering feelings for her - not sure why he ever hooked up with SJ - we haven’t really gotten their backstory yet - but I think once he finds out the baby is really his, he is going to try to win her back. SJ wants the status that comes with being married into the Gong family - they are richer than JH and have a much higher status - plus I believe she had her sights set on worming her way into a prestigious position in the company. She wanted to be in the Finance department when she thought she was marrying TK - and she would have gotten it too - I think her goal was to take over the company - her family lost all of its money and it was mentioned that her dad use to loan money to the Gong’s but now he was the one who had to ask for help from them - their families use to be equal status and friends but something happened…..not sure what - it has something to do with her dad losing their money. I can’t help but wonder if the Gong family is responsible in some way for that. Not sure. She obviously doesn’t care about anyone but herself and I believe her goal goes much deeper than just getting back at TK and YD.
