Even though the emperor's upbringing of FSG is wrong and overboard, compared to FSG's mother actions, the emperor's actions are more understandable. Her husband is the emperor, and the children are royal prince and princess, she can't just take them away to some place far away and claim that he'll no longer be their father. The world doesn't work that way, just feels very off to me.

in the latest preview of episode 25, the princess called FYX "bitch" and criticized her. just because she can't get XJS to love her, she can't just go around calling names. such a low standard move. the main villains such as the empress, Murong and XJS all had a painful past for them to turn bad, while she lived her whole life as a princess and she still became like this. this is the first time I've hated a side character that much, and not the main villains.

I hope after this FSG won't be so protective of her anymore but we all know how much he loves his sister.

the fact that the princess is willing to steal the token and betray her father, brother and kingdom for a man who wouldn't even look at her is just plain stupid, and she already knew he had someone in his heart from the very start. she deserves to get whatever hardships that will come for her in the future.

I know XJS's character is very bad and a major red flag but he's so hot Lol

XJS wanted to sacrifice the citizens of zhennan pass and that's what led to the downfall of Yixiao , and I felt like if XJS would've put Yixiao first, none of this would have happened and they would be still in love. XJS ended up having to marry Xiyang when he doesn't have any feelings for her at all. I was rooting for XJS with Yixiao at first but now it seemed impossible.

it has too much political stuff and so draggy, but I pitied the SML's role and loves to see him on screen

best Chinese drama I've watched in 2025 so far, love all the casts. both the ML and SML actings are so good, and the FML has this vibe that really suits the female general role
