I binge watched the first 3 episodes and wow this is literally my cup of tea

I'm a fan of the ML, and the FML is also quite cute but the storyline seems to be too childish, especially the visuals such as the way the demons are dressed up. Anyways I'm going to keep watching it :)

from the description, there's no main female lead, so there's no romance?

The fight scenes are amazing — you can really tell it’s a high-budget drama. I’ve seen some people comment on Su Mu Yu’s acting, but personally, I think his makeup and facial expressions perfectly bring out his cold and stubborn personality, although there're a few scenes where his actions may look quite boring. When it comes to the romance, I actually felt more chemistry between Mu Yu Mo and Tang Lian Yue than between Su Mu Yu and Bai He Huai. Mu Yu Mo’s constant flirting with Tang Lian Yue was super fun to watch, and they just look so cute together.

I think for shadow love, the ML (Ryan Cheng) saved the show. There are scenes where the FL runs while holding her dress up, and the dangling hair pins are not the typical characteristics of a female general. She really doesn't suit that role.

The initial half of the drama was very good, and I was so addicted to it that I keep looking forward to when the new episodes will air. but with the second half of the drama, after the way the princess betrayed her brother, I really hate her character and there're too much scenes of her that I literally lost my focus on the drama. why is the plot revolving around her now?? such a waste of time when it could be spent more on FSG revenge and the love between FSG and FYX. even XJS and murong plot were interesting to watch because they were such red flags but with the princess, she literally has no dignity and keep wanting to sleep around with different men. if this drama didn't include her too much, it would have been so so much better. I skip all of her scenes and would have dropped it if not for FSG and FYX. the way FYX portrayed the female general character is amazing and love the chemistry between them so much.

same I was very addicted at first but now I feel like there's too much scenes about the princess, and she already betrayed too much to her brother that now this plot is so out of the point. I keep skipping her scenes and there's not that much to watch anymore

she's just grabbing whatever man that is available to her at this point

she betrayed her father and brother just to follow an enemy, she threatened herself with a knife when FSG tried to bring her back home on the way. no matter what she's doing now, I don't feel an ounce of pity or like towards her. she deserved whatever thats coming

I don't like him at all, killing an innocent dancer and sleeping around with different women all day is a big no. plus he didn't care about the politics at all. if XJS wasn't there, jinxiu would have lost to Susha ages ago

she's a female general, so her character is supposed to look cold and heartless

I think FSG was too soft towards Murong, maybe because they're childhood friends but if FSG had been harsh to that father and son duo from the moment he knew that Murong was Meng Juran, perhaps his loyal followers wouldn't need to die. I just hope FSG comes back stronger, and pay back twice the pain he received to them. I don't want to see any forgiveness or regret at the end, like how the typical dramas do.

in the recent episode, she told XJS's brother that she wants to kill XJS. if this is not revenge, I don't know what else is

XJS never manipulated Xiyang, and just because she couldn't get his love after all those disgusting undressing and force hugs, she decided to go on a revenge mode by sleeping with his brother? while her brother is being attacked and killed on all sides, all she does is whine about her pathetic one sided love. her character and side of story is getting super annoying. I literally skipped all of her scenes.

At first I was feeling bad for the old Murong man, but after the way the father and son duo stabbed FSG, they must die, as well as the empress. I hope the amnesia curve for FSG doesn't take up too much time because I don't want to see the FSG hating FYX moments all over again, felt like repetition. Also, what is up with the princess, she wants to sleep with the jinxiu emperor now? aside from second-hand embarrassment and disgusting undressing scenes, she is such a useless character and bring nothing.
