I complete agree with you. I watched because I have been working my way backwards in Hong Yi Li's filmography from "Love Better Than Immortality." This is a very strong story about passing judgement on others, being driven by parents' expectations without asking "why". not knowing yourself or loving what you know, and about not standing up for what you know is right or wrong in yourself. The story is excellent and, as you say, everyone had a lovely wrap up, while the main one received a "maybe," a poor choice with this or other love stories. They are our universal metaphor of lasting hope.

Need to do more custom role. Love better than importability was good.
The series name is "Love Better Than Immortality", although ‘importability’ is a rather hilarious substitute! Thanks for the laugh. Too bad that in 150 years a country on Earth has learned how to do a far more difficult thing than sending entire bodies backward in time. I thought the metaphysics of locating the non-corporeal parts of a human body (souls, spirit, mind, will, emotions, and character or personality) would be far more difficult than sending backward a physical body. This is the most original time travel program I have seen or read about described in a novel.

While Hong Yi is quite arrests much of our attention in the role, no one is anywhere in the story without Zhao Lusi.'s "Little/Miss Chun Hoa. Her portrayal of a stranger becoming a member of a society with no resemblance or familiarity to her own is captivating. She is as fearless here as she was for shedding her own body to travel back in time 2,000+ years. I love all the blundering she does in the early episodes and how forgiving the men are, which is also hair-pulling irritation to watch: "She's just a sweet, naive, feeble young female who has lost her complete memory, so we all need to be patient with her.” Right! The alien has landed and they have no idea that in six months or more, life as they know it will be very different! This is one of the most ironic, funny, and heart touching stories I have seen in a long time. Thank you, China!!

Good call on quitting SM, glad he is in China filming dramas. He even sang an OST for the current drama he is…
Try again if you stopped watching it. All episodes have had English subtitles since Aug 22, 2019. Excellent acting, actors, and directions. I admire the series greatly.
