It's actually great though.... I don't get why people are hating that the male lead has the "ordinary guy" look. I mean... I was skeptical at first about watching this drama since I usually goes for handsome male lead. But as I watch more episodes (I'm on ep 8), I've been enjoying it so much actually. The male lead is quite handsome actually. Also I love how they use their own voice. Sometimes, I just can't get into Chinese dramas because of voice dubbing.
Don't forget that while this korean movie is female to male, the thai movie is male to female. They are both student-teacher having love relationship. Also infidelity. The situation in the korean version would be more complicated.
This is a really sad and deep story. Ofc I know about all those homophobic things and reicarnation in the movie. But I think it makes sense for all of that to happen. I mean it's a 2001 movie, so LGBT was pretty much a taboo and sinful thing and Korea was still conservative back then. I believe it has a message though, that scene where he talked about 'wrong' and 'different'. Yeah, their love for each other is different, not wrong. Also, that ending seemed to me like the society are the one who makes the couple think they are wrong, kinda maybe they are hoping for a better life in their next lives according to the society standard of man-woman relationship. In the end, people are driving them to make such choices. Also imagine the amount of criticism if they have a happy ending. This sad ending is supposed to be a wake-up call for those who are still judgemental of LGBT. I mean what can you do if you just love a person so much, not the outer appearance but the person inside?
Where can I watch this with the korean version, not the vietnamese dub? I'm fine with no sub or chinese sub even though I don't know chinese. Also, I can't seem to watch it on Viki because of the region restriction thing.
