I did some digging, and iQiyi indeed changed the heat index rule on July 14. The heat index now includes live broadcast content, which is a significant change. With this new rule, future dramas will likely reach 10,000 more easily. For example, A Dream Within a Dream would likely have reached 10,000 under this rule as well.
