How many powerful people of this culture (whatever culture you're assuming and talking about) in relation to the global population are doing that? How many people are actually following it if it's as you say? Have you thought about the powerful people in your country or globally that incite violence and even go as far as to create war and genocides based completely on their own ideas and goals; not even a religion or culture? Also, just because you're saying WORDS that you won't harm another doesn't mean someone else from your culture won't do the same. Am I to assume the entire culture is working in the same manner of the violent man then?

literally NO ONE in SEAsia wears that or dances like that. I don't think you even know what countries belong to that region. Arab, Indian, and Persian cultures that are being mixed and mocked here don't belong to the SE of Asia, they're SA or Middle East. So there's that ignorance of your American brain for starters.
And, even if that was a typo or mistake, you saying "Many SE Asians DO wear such clothing and dance that way." is like saying "Cotton Eyed Joe" is what North American DOES music sounds like; North Americans ARE red necks and DO practice incest to keep their bloodline "pure;" saying the N word IS just a greeting or casual slang in North America; and Americans ARE cowboys. You're also implying that it's okay to make a "joke" of a culture or race of people if the joke is "factual" and thus the ad is okay, but even then your argument doesn't work since nothing about this commercial has even an ounce of "fact." And if it really is okay to make a joke on facts, then I guess it's fine to mock the stats of cancer rates in America since it's FACT, and it's fine to mock and make a "light joke" about the rates of violence against women in America too, right? We just need to "lighten up."

You finding something cute and silly doesn't mean it is cute and silly. That's just your perspective; and that too on something that you can't have any opinion on given your 100% American status with no cultural/environmental ties to the groups attempting to be depicted. For example, you said the clip "doesn't deal with anything so serious as small eyes." This goes to show that you think mocking a culture of a people isn't as severe as some superficial features. As if a culture and race of a person isn't much, let alone equal, in comparison to their physical features.

Also, this isn't the first time Korea's done something ignorant over cultures; particularly towards SA and Middle East. They say, "we're sorry we were ignorant" and then they do it again in the exact same way. There are countless example in just the recent decade where Korea has created absurd images of Indians and Arabs through dramas, ads, and even songs. It's equivalent to Americans making all their Indian character have a thick accent, eat "curry," and drive a taxi, and then say "but that's what Indians ARE like." SMH, what century do you live in that you got such a racist and outdated mentality??

Just an add on, you said "Do other Asians feel that Koreans have smaller eyes than they do, on average?" But no one mentioned "other Asians" , the comments mentioned an example of people (in general) mocking small eyes of Koreans. Are you just assuming everything from country locations and their cultures to who's making mockery of who?

But, granted, you ARE the stereotypical American person the world talks about, so I guess that's why you think like this. --> You know, the Americans that "ARE racist," and "ARE illiterate and ignorant of the world outside of their little bubble," and feel that they "DO have the right to speak on behalf of others' cultures and dictate whether or not others can be offended by people making a "joke" about them."

this drama listed here is really just the "compilation" of the Duel 4 part series. The individual parts total up to 30 episodes. See my comment above if you want to see it in chronological order with respect to the story. A lot of people got confused by the release dates

I think the commentor posted that order for chronology of story not the release date. Although hot blooded was released earlier, it's the story of the kids and after effects of what happens in the 4 part series. So if you don't want to go through confusions of the flashbacks in hot blooded, then just watch the 4 part series first (parent story)

maybe people will start to shift back to indie films/shows and boycott big industry media altogether (at least until the next industry emerges and monopolizes once more; hopefully not - But at least, it'll take a longer time until then if it does occur). I'm looking forward to people creating their own art once more, communities shifting back to being communities and actually creating things themselves to bring art back into life. I hope no matter how difficult it is, that the creators don't give up. I think it could also be a way of bringing about genuine ideas "straight from the horses mouth."

Yeah, there are tons of other SD actors that are quite popular I think, but they don't get to see the limelight much b/c of the lack of dramas in comparison to some who come in multiple ones at once. Good luck to them~

Yeah, he's still popular, but if he doesn't get diverse roles and better scripts soon then I think he would be replaced by anyone who shows up on a popular show easily. I feel the number of dramas he's coming out with is the only thing keeping him in the fans' views as of now. Still, if like you said the dramas being released are old ones and he's actually getting into more diverse plots, then that's great for him!

also, sorry, no idea who jesse ren is, I think I tried watching ETDK but it was too "wattpad" coded for me lol

facial edema, no wonder he looked a little different and slightly puffy recently! Also agreed, rather have a few good quality dramas than multiple type casted, repetitive ones that he's been in recently. I understand they're trying to "wring him dry" but it's really deteriorating his "value" as an actor if viewers only see him in one role- gets less viewers looking forward to his future projects.

Not sure if you got the episode yet, but it's when they're having issues about her "relationship." That's when they tell everything but they really glaze over it too soon. It's one of the beginning episodes during the 3rd daughter's story.

She's a cousin who's been adopted by the mother after her parents died in the famine. They elaborate on that in the first few episodes. That's why she calls the lady "mom" but the mother and sisters don't treat her like a true sister/daughter.
