Ha ha, thank you...I don't know about that but sometimes you just have to shake loose to keep you from going under…
ha ha well... I did end up with a burn out but that was mostly due to overworking post transplant so I would not say I am wonder woman... But I am pretty well organised which is key in these situations. We had a good support system primarily from the state but my husbands family took care of our dog and kid whenever we needed.... So I am not kidding when I say a lot of people where involved in me making it this far... As for her I am hoping she will need less people involved to keep her alive but she does have a pretty awesome dad (I chose well) and was born in more advanced times...
Ha ha, thank you...I don't know about that but sometimes you just have to shake loose to keep you from going under…
Also she has many good memories from visiting me as she received a lot of love, ice cream and some times even stuffed animals or toys from both nurses and fellow patients... She was truly a ray of sunshine in the ward

My kid was about 6 months old when I started getting sick, I had had the condition my whole life but it got worse after my very short pregnancy, she was 3 when we started discussing the need of a heart transplant. But I'd say she spent a big part of her toddler years visiting hospitals not only for my sake but for her sake as well. My husband had a really good rutin for this... making sure to visit me every day whenever I was in the hospital. We would have the bed time story and PJs at the hospital and then she would sleep in the car drive home. To be clear most of my hospital stays would last a couple of days to a week here and there... and I was hospitalised about 5 weeks after the transplant. So most of her toddlerhood was spent at home like any other kid.
Don't think that is possible, and I was never on an ECHMO so I don't know how it works but I don't think it is…
What I know is that it is an external pump that bypasses the heart... I just don't know if they can remove ones heart and use an ecmo instead after a heart has already been transplanted witch was how I interpreted the question, it doesn't really sound accurate... I don't really know what went on During the surgery... come to think of it. I know others who were on an ECMO pre surgery, and one guy had a portable pump with him pre surgery. But I was not on one before it. I had triple wire pacemaker, meds and all kinds of stuff but not an ECMO.... so it is not something I know much about.
I being a med student myself enjoy watching medical dramas and laughing at the mistakes people do. Of course,…
Ha ha, probably not.. I am a very cureous person with a good long term memory... so I have picked up a thing or two thrue the years... but each patient reacts differently, there are norms within patient communitys as well and I know that I rearly find myself in how patients are portrayed in media but I am sure others do. ❤️
OMG thankyou Shiro, for sharing your incredible story, and that gorgeous Gif of you dancing 🤩. And Starflakes,…
Ha ha, thank you...I don't know about that but sometimes you just have to shake loose to keep you from going under in hospitals (I hate hospitals). The first dance was to let it go with my then 3,5 year old kid and a the stand (I was kind of stuck with it for a month). Since I wait to binge stuff I may watch it once it finishes airing. If I do and Ill try to remember to get back to you on that.
Thank you for this, it touches home. My brother in-law is a lung transplant survivor. Getting to that point after…
I actually missed "the call" because my hand was numb but luckily they called again... Glad he is doing well. Lungs are the most sensitive organ, so those who switch lungs take the most meds...And those adjustmants in the beginning are no joke... so all the luck to him with the adjustmants fighting.
Thank you Shiro and Starflakes for this unique and heartfelt study of transplants in dramaland. It’s especially…
Thank you, I don't know how it is in other countries but in Sweden hearts and and lung transplants are only preformed in 2 hospitals for both patents from both Sweden and Iceland. So yep very highly specialised here too. Glad you enjoyed it 😊 I have not seen fallong for innocence yet but maybe I will. If I do Ill try to remeber to let you know.
