I always say, watch a few episodes. If it's your cup of tea, you're in for an awesome time, laughter tears and all. I didn't find any boring parts. They were more of a build up and small arcs are deal with pretty quick. Only LTG is a drag, when they shove him up our faces too much. Otherwise, I can stand him. 😅
If it's not your thing, just drop it.
This drama starts out running though. You will have to catch up. No childhood story and no long flashbacks.

Honestly at this point, I could careless what the empress or prince danyang are thinking or doing. The emperor could stay in An for all I care, if it wasn't for the edict.

Oh you're good. It's nice to hear from others point of view and just share info back and forth. I'm trying to just think to myself how feasible that possibility is. It honestly hasn't enter my head, just based on all the info but we've been surprised before.

Maybe the arrow didn't mean to kill the An emperor and he could be saved as long as he doesn't die. Chai ming was killed because he blocked it. Even if he was only injured, they wouldn't save him. He's not the Emperor.
I would like to think Meiniang or Luidao Hall would be able to sniff out something if Chai Ming betrayed everyone.
Or that LTG would not know or leaked and use that info when he met them. He caught the Emperor - doesn't matter to him who betrayed An.
Also, knowing how sad Chai ming's death hit the other Liudao Hall guys (they mentioned a few times how close he was to Qian Zhao), I don't believe he would.
We'll have to wait and see. I thought the memorial by the river was the end of those Liudall Hall's heroic arc.

To expand on this thought - NYZ asked her what about the Emperor as she was adding to her kill list. She said she needed to think first and see what to do. She was torn.
Therefore I take this scene as above - do what you want and don't worry about how the empress would feel (as he was her husband). This is the only(?) reason 2nd prince is still alive.
Either way, I'm sure the An emperor is going to be off somehow.

I believe that was why he was shot - disorderly among the soldiers.
