Hated Princess Agents, let's see if this will impress.
:D i stopped watching princess agents weeks ago and never feel the need to continue. but for now, this is on my watch list. can't wait and hoping it holds me all the way through like ten miles of peach blossom.
the subbed trailer from dramafever was intense though. i loved the dark theme and graphics look great from what i see. the scene where she froze everything was so sweet and beautiful.
i couldn't continue with this drama... i love the guys... lgx and sd are great in their acting. lgx's character is kind of dull but i feel he was in character while sd was just super intense, whether laughing or angry. but i couldn't watch it anymore... i can't get into zly's character. she was bland in the beginning but then i just started getting bored. i still remember the scene where the shopkeeper was trying to help her remember her past and when ywy woke up, she came out of the trance with the blandest (is that even a word?) expression on her face, ever. no surprise, no nothing snapping out of all that memory. i keep thinking to myself, did she not remember anything? she was twitching and moving during that time but no recollection? i was way more confused than any of them. hahaha i think that was the moment i gave up though i keep watching more episodes after. i feel her character can be strong but i don't get that feeling from her, on more than one occasion.
maybe after it's all out and subbed and i don't have anything to watch, i'll go back and finish it because i'm super curious how the guys will turn out. that's me though... dramas that can actually pull me in and keep me watching are far and few in between. oh well. bummer.
Even though they are entirely different dramas why do I get this TMOPB vibe???!! Tuesday night as soon as i watched…
I thought I was the only one getting the Ten Miles of Peach Blossom vibes!!! I kept saying that out loud when I watch it... especially when some of the background musics come on. I'm like I think that's from TMOPB. And the outfits... I mean it's the same director right? I wonder if they reuse a bunch of the outfits and accessories. zly's gold and white outfit reminded me of ye hua's mother's outfit.
Following and watching this one for now. Haven't seen watch anything of zly except for duckweed but I don't feel her angry / fierce expressions. She seems more indifferent than anything. I guess I was waiting for her eyes to get all fiery like yang MI or Ha Ji won but they feel flat. Lgx does look stiff; hope he warms up to the emotional scenes like mark did in eternal love later.
Making this my next drama since the awesome Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms so hoping it won't disappoint. Will be first time watching ZLY but love LGX. Someone please sub this!
I was just scrolling down the page and I've got to say, I'm surprised by the lack of any negative comments.…
i believe the reason this drama did so well was that everything just works, awesomely, together. the actors, costumes, even cgi and settings. everything holds well and moves along, telling the story, seamlessly. that's the way i feel. i love the flow of everything: storyline, outfits, and their hair. LOL for the most part, everyone was calm (not too much over-reacting) because they're gods // immortals and to me, that also goes right in line with everything else.
i don't feel like anything's too flashy but rather, understated. i didn't enjoy the costumes or setting of the mortal world (with the emperor and concubines) as i did of the immortal world.
if you ask me if i'm a fantasy drama fan, i'll say no. but if a drama is good (and this one is very good!), it doesn't matter what genre it is, i'll watch it.
btw, i also started out watching goblin - but i fell off the bandwagon. i don't know... it couldn't keep my interest. i do that with a lot, a lot of dramas, even the ones that get all the acclaims. but i followed and watched 3L3W until the very end and i still wish it was longer.
Just finished the last of the episodes on dramafever!! What a great drama and ride this was. This (and sound of the desert) is how you adapt a novel into a drama; follow closely and not like general and I. Love all the cast... Most of them were totally funny and noteworthy, dijun, so Ming, Bai zhen, zhe Yan, the disciples, 3rd uncle, etc.
Hair envy is still there. Mark Chao and yang mi were awesome. Boy mark is so good looking. I will have to watch Love again... He sizzled in there too and he was younger then. Coincidentally, Eddie peng was in there too but I hardly noticed. Haha
What other upcoming dramas look good? What's everyone waiting for after this?
Reading the novel that this drama is based on really disappointed me. Compared to the drama the novel is really…
my thoughts exactly on adapting the book into a drama. i now think of them as companion to each other. the drama does a great job filling in the loopholes from the book, from only her perspective.
as for anther sequel from yehua's point of view, i don't know and haven't heard.
mark is love... anyhow, i can't even remember the last drama i finished. it was a very very long time ago.…
i agreed - mark is the draw after watching. actors / actresses either make or break a drama and i love most of the casts and their characters. everyone look so lovely, neat and calm for the most part. lol
mark is love... anyhow, i can't even remember the last drama i finished. it was a very very long time ago. but the last drama that hooked me in this deep was sound of the desert, back in 2014.
i just love love the drama and have watched to episode 37 without subs after the ones on dramafever. i have already finished the book on amazon in 2 days and started the pillow book but it's not as intense or interesting. i love all the side characters, especially ye hua's 3rd uncle, mo yuan and dong hua. i don't mind the bad cgi on some instances because it's a fantasy so that's a pass. most of the sceneries are beautiful though and looks lovely and in place with the storyline.
mark is so so on point with mo yuan and ye hua, especially ye hua. he's so intense and yet he holds in so much. he's awesome expressing his emotions through his eyes. in both relationships with su su and later on with bai qian, i wished that yang mi shows more passion because ye hua comes off so strong and smexy. lol
anyway, does anyone know where i can find the english transation for ye hua's epilogue online? the book on amazon did not have it. :(
Guys how good is this compared to General and I because I was disappointed in that one. But I know Yang Mi is…
i'm one of the ones who were excitedly anticipating general and i. everything looked so good and i like wallace so i read the translations just a few days before the drama was subbed and i was so so disappointed with the overall adaptation of it.
whereas i went into this with no expectations other than loving mark and it's been just wonderful and i am anxiously waiting for new subs. i even read the book after 12 episodes because i couldn't wait and the book was great too. so dive in! :D
