It's been years and I have watched this multiple times but wei wu ji is still the best male lead ever for me! Their lovey dovey love line is still the best after all these years. I love the little to no misunderstanding, how they both are together against all the scheming and how steadfast wwj's love is. Hu Ge in his most awesome role here too; because my heart would ache for him every single time, even though I love the OTP to bits.
Can we get more dramas like this without needless misunderstanding that take forever to resolve please? I love when it's the OTP against all and not themselves on and on and on. Until the last few episodes.
I just saw that Amazon Prime have 60 episodes up. Checked episode 60 and it's subbed so assuming all are. I'm so excited! I have been wanting to watch this drama so much! Sun li is one amazing actress!
Laura_Roslin took the words right out of my mouth, that this drama is meant to be SAVORED. Very true. Dive in with that thought and you'll LOVE this. I totally appreciate the way this drama was filmed even as I read the hurdles they had to go through. Made me appreciate it more. The sceneries are just gorgeous and the way the drama looked and flow reminds me of a movie instead of a drama. I love the slow moments too, as they are so so beautifully filmed that I would not consider fast forwarding because I don't want to miss a second of it.
I do not mind the episode count; I'm even happy that I'll get to enjoy it for that many episodes. I'm up to episode 36 since I'm following it on Dramafever. I would rather watch a compelling and good long drama than some quick short dramas. I SO don't want it to end and I'm not even halfway. LOL I wish ALL dramas are as beautifully filmed and acted!!
The cast couldn't be more perfect though I wish Janine Chang was given a bigger role as I love her in Best Times. Shu Ling is awesome as the Empress and Wang Qianyuan is perfect as Arch Prince Ye. He's so good that I just don't hate it. I totally enjoyed his acting and am glad he's in here. Check out Village of No Return for one of his recent work.
The 3 main leads and their respective love interests are great as well with the guys taking the cake of course. I started out anticipating han jiang and MYS's storyline a lot and after a while, I just find SFHY at the fore front of it. Hahaha In short, he's perfect! I don't remember watching a drama where the guy(s) cried as much as SFHY did in here and yet i find him MANLY, INTENSE, and PASSIONATE! Wowza!
I'm so picky on dramas with the only other ones I finished this year being Ten Miles of Peach Blossom and Love Lost in Time but I'll not hesitate to recommend this.
so intense! i finished the 6 episodes released and i'm diving in. the first 4 episodes set things up and gets better in 5 and 6. after seeing the preview for next week, i am anxiously waiting. ahhh *sigh*
Guys, guys who's checking out Lost Love in Times? Same adorable lady Director as 33lw...and I've researched…
I am. If she's going the same direction as this one, considering this was the dark horse drama and did awesomely well, they won't... Or not much to matter but we shall see. I would think they would keep the same formula as this seeing how PA was a heck of a train wreck. So glad I jumped off.
I seem to be in the minority but I loved the first 4 episodes. It felt like watching a movie. I loved the pace, enjoyed the better than average cgi and much better than average action / fight scenes. It was refreshing to see that Prince Ling didn't take 10 or 20 or 30 episodes to make up his mind. Definitely a breath of fresh air there. I feel the attraction was in place for the main leads and liked prince zhan more than i do some main leads in other dramas. hahahaha
william was believable in the action scenes and in general, i feel they were a lot more grounded. i pretty much enjoyed everything, the darker theme and the villains.
love lss as always so i hope this drama keeps bringing in the goods. lol
i just finished episodes 5 - 8 and what a cliffhanger!! i love the relationship between prince ling and qc... getting really good. i can't wait until each mondays for new episodes. sobs...
I swear Su Jin is everywhere. Hoping she won't be an antagonist here too lol (I love Huang Maggie but damn…
had to laugh out loud because i was thinking the same thing. i hope she does a 180 here though. i find her prettiest in eternal love... i don't know why. maybe this drama will change that.
Excited to watch another Liu Shishi wuxia! Though I liked Bu Bu JIng Xin, Liu Shishi's Sound of the Desert…
me too me too!! sound of the desert is my favorite drama for all the sweet moments and how the OTP is together with little to no misunderstanding unlike a lot of other dramas that dragged on. also #1 on my short list of dramas with the most rewatch value. i miss eddie peng too... his wwj is just so sweet and mushy while strong at the same time. aaahhhh
while i look forward to watching lss with wc, i also wished it could have been eddie.
anopinion's review above is SO SO SPOT ON with this drama and the book. i finished the english translation before the drama aired and was so excited for it. but the worst thing that could happen did happened (anopinion summed it up above).
one reason i love eternal love (ten miles of peach blossom) and sound of the desert so much was because they follow the book. general and i is a prime example of what happens when you DO NOT FOLLOW the book. like, seriously. i stopped at episode 9 because i couldn't come up with any more excuse on why the show was so bad. then just recently picked it up again and then realized why i stopped in the beginning. to me, it was like chu bei jei and bai ping ting from the novel jumped into an alternate kdrama universe. so disappointing when i was waiting to see the book come alive.
i really liked just about everyone in the book, including he xia. in the drama, he was not likeable at all.
just horrible horrible. if you start watching this, you may need to watch something else to counter balance the awfulness that is this drama.
I've now seen a good number of wuxia/xianxia and yet still to find better wigs than the ones here. The wigs…
what? lol i never noticed it!! but i love love their silky hair though. when i was watching princess agents in the beginning, i just wondered why their hair is not as silky as the ones in eternal love and it bugged me a while. hahaha

Enjoy! ^^
Hopefully they upload the rest fairly soon.
