After the princess' arc, I was thinking when Ruyi's going to have a talk about bad men with NYZ (since she was warned by empress and seeing her friend and princess go through the same thing) and boom, she started out by threatening him. 😂 She didn't disappoint.

I'm ready for bits of jealousy to be thrown in here and there. But I don't believe it will last long. It seems to me that they know they love each other. Suddenly changing their minds is hard to believe after all that build up they gave us.
NYZ is fast becoming my 2nd fav all time male lead. Eddie Peng's Wei Wuji remains my fav. Both are LSS' MLs. 😅
With that out of the way, I have yet to find a boring episode. Slower paced, yes, but I think of that (ep 13) as the calm before the storm and building up. I don't know how many times our leads or the crew will get time to chat, goof around or be a bit carefree once they get down to business in An but enjoying them while I can.
Love relationship - I love a steadfast love relationship and it seems like this just might be it. There could be other potential 3rd wheelers but the leads just need to remain true to each other and the jealousies / misunderstandings will get resolved real fast. We have many dramas with dragging love triangles or more and these mature relationships, when done well, are so much more right up my alley and endearing.
Now I'm going to gush about RY and NYZ some more. That kiss RY gave NYZ on the horse - wow! ❤️❤️ And NYZ looked like he was drunk / drugged after. 😂 Then that playful fight and she just lift up both legs so it transitioned into a carry pose. Love it. Reminds me of when she ran and jump onto Eddie peng and he just effortlessly carried her like that as well. I don't see a lot of those type of hugs so I love it when I see them.
"He looks so good in this outfit!" comes to mind everytime NYZ comes on screen wearing the officer uniform. His face shape fit that hat so well and his height and physique really does justice to the uniform. I have seen a lot of actors in officer uniform in historical dramas but he has to be the best looking one so far. 😻
At certain angles he looks like an older Nam Joo-hyuk.
What a coincidence! I just finished vigilante with Nam joo hyuk. My first drama starring him. It might just be me but I don't see the resemblance (yet).
I think LSS can and she's more bold at the kisses though not as explicit. It's LYN who is still shy at kisses.
I thought her kissing scene with Eddie peng in sound of the desert, where they were in the mountain hot spa, she was a bit more active. If that make sense.
Am I the only one that find it hot and badass when RY came to rescue NYZ in the brothel? Like he doesn't need it but RY is so fierce and you know she can and will protect him though she's petite next to him. LSS really shines in this role.
I love that because LYN is such a tall and musculine guy, LSS manages to still be fierce and feminine while LYN is still so manly. Even when he stands behind LSS too.
I find it funny that NYZ seems to miss RY's advances. Haha RY is patient but she's killing him slowly with all the seduction before. She spoiled him and now he's hankering for it. 😅
I just remember who Alen Fang's Yu Shisan reminded me of, especially when he does his hair flip and when he first came out of prison - Stephen Chow! I saw that getting out of prison clip again and voila, Stephen Chow vibes.

He is! I'm all for tall musculine MLs too. 😊 He stood out (literally haha) when I was watching Our Song and his voice is so nice. Glad he is in this drama as he is perfect for NYZ. Very charismatic and smexy. I have to say some of their sweet interactions remind me of Sound of the Desert. But that's because I love that drama and Wei Wuji.
I can't believe I was 😭 in episode 11 but laughing and swooning in episode 12. ❤️❤️❤️ Plus their side profiles are beautiful together. I love me a mature relationship and leads. I also find LSS even more beautiful in ep 12, without the fierce make up (which fits her too).
I love how they made talking about making a baby seem as normal as pie and so smexy (in episode 12 anyway).
And I feel that their relationship is just not between them but the whole crew. Haha
I hope they stick together as long as possible because that's more time for lovey dovey moments.
Still one of my few favorite. Also, it looks like Eddie may never do drama again since he seems to be focusing on movies (finger crossed though it's been many years). His Wei Wuji remains a favorite ML of mine, not to mention how good looking he is. Haha

Sometimes I can expect when Shisan might be hilarious but I'm surprised by a lot as well. He's a riot for real.
