Little things I love and appreciate how it's done in the drama.
1. When she kissed him for the first time, he was shocked and yelled her name. Afterwards, he just took them in stride. Normally, it's the reverse. NYZ did a lot of yelling / screaming in the early episodes. π€£
2. When Ruyi asked him to boost her over the cliff. I don't know about you guys but I thought he'll hold her and throw her or something more... refined. I was super surprised when he just bent down and kicked out, meeting her kick to boost her up and over.
I'm probably in the minority but I find that hot and heroic! π₯π
Can I read the last part as a bit of a reassurance? Is he talking about the ending of working together or the…
Why not? Just curious. But good to know. I'll going with that until the end. It could just be HE for the main leads but I'm OK with that since it's obvious everyone is not going to get their HE. The baby needs to show up somehow.
"#LiuYuning: since I know #FangYilun quite well, we're also good friends in private and occasionally eat together and have a chat, so I feel more confident escorting a princess this time with someone I'm familiar with. And the ending is quite good."
Anyone think the ending would have anything to do with the title?
The title fits when thinking about it. It's a journey to finding love, whether it's your significant other or friends / people you met along the way.
I'm ready for what is almost guaranteed to be sad because we all know not everyone is going to make it out alive.
I remember someone wrote on reddit I think, saying the leads want to retire after. We just don't know whether they get to retire happily ever after or retire 6 feet under. π₯
1. He stood out in Our Song for me, being so charismatic and heroic with Richie Ren. Their heroic and catching songs became some of my fav. π₯°
2. Watched some episodes of The Long Ballad and notice how handsome and tall Haodu was. He seemed to be sending off complex character vibes. I was surprised and not surprised when I googled the cast and saw it was LYN though I did not recognize him. Haha π
3. Now watching A Journey to Love and his NYZ is one of the most sexy and charismatic ML ever! β€οΈ
Congrats for starting off strong with the first male lead role and may you continue to have great success in your acting and singing careers. πͺπ π
I wanted more lovey scenes but there wasn't much time for that in the newest 2 episodes. Too busy dealing with LTG.
This is the first time I truly felt sad for LTG. Ruyi was his master, companion, and pillar of strength when they were growing up. I can see why he can't get over her and why he would lost his composure when he met her. He never recovered from her 'death'. Basically, he was emotional in that meeting scene and I feel, some people (if not most) will act like that in the same situation.
On to the crew - they are funny as heck. I can see Sun Lang is sometimes oblivious to what's going on. Which is lol funny to me.
The crew throwing shades at NYZ is hilarious... Especially QZ. And when NYZ said, you think I don't dare to beat you? And he replied, you don't dare as he walked away. ππ
NYZ got struck with so many invisible arrows... Poor guy. Plus he has to deal with LTG. Though I have to admit, I love watching a serious and manly NYZ as much as a shy one.
And the last scene, NYZ was already dealing with being insecured and jealous in these eps and I felt he was gonna blow a fuse soon. Chief Du provoking him is not smart. I can see why Ruyi going is the best way... Maybe they really thought it would be more smooth if they are able to pay ransom and retrieve the Emperor without much ado. They just didn't realize how obsessed LTG is and what he wants in return.
Now I hope I can overcome the urge and wait until end of week to binge watch all 8 episodes. π And I'm ready for Iqiyi to charge for the rest of the episodes. I rarely watch dramas in the last few years and this is the 1st one I can't wait to just watch everything of.
She genuinely does want to have a baby with him but itβs more like a check the box task she needs to complete…
Yes, she does and yes it was just a task to be checked off. She set her sight on him earlier when they rescued her to have her teach the princess. She was starring at NYZ's back as he was riding his horse and the empress' voice telling her to have a kid of her own came on. I think that was the IT moment.
So about Yang Ying choices in ep 15-16. As this guard dude was the only one in the palace who was nice to her,…
I agreed. I see why she trusted him and wanted to marry him. He was good to her and she listened to him. It's sad to get such a wake up call, especially when he was the biggest reason she became prince li. Better now than later though.

So it's kind of read every comment at your own risk, spoiler tag or not. π
I'm also ready for the worst.
