Apparently, MXD and LL used to be a couple in the past, but for some reason, they’re now separated. The drama never gives us any backstory or explains why they broke up. We can assume it might have been because they were busy with their sports careers or something, but nothing is clarified.

In this drama, these two don’t even meet until we’re halfway through, and while the tension between them is obvious to us as viewers, they don’t really take any steps forward.

All we get are a few conversations and small moments that show they care for each other, but there’s no actual romance or storyline for them in this drama.

The unresolved tension and how great they look together are probably why so many people want a spinoff, an explanation, or even a separate drama with them together.

Is there a second couple? If yes, who are they?
That’s a tough question to answer. You could call MXD and LL a secondary couple, but they’re not really a ‘couple’ in the typical drama sense. Also, I’m pretty sure 99% of the people who’ve watched this drama would love a spinoff of their story or even a drama with them cast together. I’ll explain more in the spoiler

Douban 4.1/10I'm scared to watch this
The moment you start choosing dramas based solely on ratings, you risk missing out on a lot of hidden gems or underrated ones. I’m not saying this drama is a gem or underrated—just speaking in general.

Is this drama slow paced? And is it worth watching?
Slow? A little, but not melodrama-level slow. Worth watching? I’d say yes, if you’re into the genre.

Does anyone know what happened to the fl Xu Lu? Why is she not in any new drama? She is not only very pretty,…
I don’t think anything happened to her. I think she just has a lot of pending projects waiting to be announced. Unfortunately, it is what it is.

I haven't watched the drama yet, but from your comment I can tell that slowburn romance are not your cup of tea.…
Yeah, exactly! I think it’s all about knowing what you’re getting into and whether you’re in the mood for it. The episode count and genre really matter, especially with longer dramas. Personally, I’m the kind of person who loves to binge-watch, so waiting for new episodes every week can be tough for me.

If I’m picking up something like a 40-episode melodrama, my first thought is: do I have the time and energy for this right now? If yes, then great—I dive in. If not, I save it for later when I know I can commit and enjoy it fully.

It’s definitely a mood thing, and I think that’s why I totally get what you’re saying about appreciating slow-burn romances when you’re in the right mindset. Sometimes it’s fun to settle in for a story that takes its time.

Yeah, her new drama Drifting Away (2025) is airing right now if you’re interested. 7 episodes are out so far, and her acting has been top-notch. It’s not the typical role she usually plays.

Completely agree. I’m a big fan of Zhao Jinmai, but her character in Princess Royal was just too annoying for my liking.

Title Will Love in Spring Spoiler
Did the FL quit her job/keep her job but permanently move to her hometown in the final episode? Or said she that…
Her quitting the job or permanently moving to her hometown wasn’t clearly mentioned—it’s left up to the viewers to interpret how their future might look. Personally, I like to think positively, and here’s what I came up with:

From what I understand, and knowing the FL’s character, they’d likely have to maintain a long-distance relationship for now while waiting for the ‘medical tourism’ plot to come into play. In the last episode (the car scene), the FL mentions that she came back because of the medical tourism initiative, which aligns with her startup idea.

So, she’s looking for a way to return to her hometown without compromising her career, and the medical tourism opportunity probably seems like the perfect solution. They’d just need to wait a bit for her to make the move back.

Title I Know I Love You Spoiler
What episode did the ML and FL get together?
It’s hard to pinpoint an exact episode since the ex-boyfriend acts like he’s still in a relationship with the FL for most of the drama.

That said, they officially get together in Episode 13 after their first kiss.

However, they’ve had feelings for each other from the very start itself and realize they’re in love with each other by Episode 10, when she asks him to wait for her.

If you like this drama, then watch the original Korean version "One Spring Night". This was good, but that one…
For me, it’s a bit different. Both are really good, but I have a slight preference for this one—probably because I watched it first and then One Spring Night later. Plus, with the shorter episode count, One Spring Night felt a bit rushed.

I also liked the OST from this one more.

That said, I do prefer the main lead pairing in One Spring Night. I felt their chemistry was stronger in comparison.

Title Sunshine of My Life Spoiler
What did FL do ? Spoilers are fine!
No, no, nothing like that. She’s just there taking care of the 2ML (who’s faking being sick, by the way). So it’s totally normal for the ML to be pissed off in that situation.

That’s why I said she’s completely clueless. She really needs to learn the meaning of boundaries—and maybe take a class on 'How to Communicate 101' while she’s at it.

Title Sunshine of My Life Spoiler
What did FL do ? Spoilers are fine!
Honestly, it’s hard to explain, but here’s the gist: The FL is in a relationship with the ML, and both of them (plus everyone else) know that the 2ML likes her and would jump at the chance to be with her.

Despite this, the FL doesn’t seem to care about boundaries. She spends time with the 2ML, has dinner with him, and even takes care of him when he’s ‘sick’ (he’s faking it, by the way). All this happens while she’s in a different country and her boyfriend is back home. If she were single, fine, but while in a relationship? Come on. The least she could do is let her boyfriend know what’s going on, but she doesn’t bother because he’s not around.

Then, when the ML visits and sees her coming out of the 2ML’s apartment at night (and we all know the 2ML is just waiting for his chance to make a move), he doesn’t confront her—he just leaves. And she’s mad at him for not listening to her? Really? She had plenty of chances to explain things before, but she chose to let it escalate and now has the audacity to be upset?!

It's been a long time since I watched this, but wow, I still remember it as one of the worst when it comes to 'annoying 2ML.' I don’t recall much of the story, but that character left such an irritating impression.

Also, the FL has to be one of the most oblivious and clueless characters ever!
