???? And? Did I say people can't post their opinions?
You're the one telling people off for hating a character's actions (who just happens to be a female). Instead of looking at it from others' perspective, you make assumptions on gender roles.

Good lord, I literally explained in my post. She didn't "know" he broke her trust; she assumed. Somehow I'm not surprised you "would do the same thing" considering you keep jumping to conclusions that people hate on her because "she is the female lead and she is supposed to be the supportive goody submissive one". Just stop with this reasoning; literally nobody believes that. I've asked you previously to link comments where people hate her because she's not "submissive" and you failed to deliver.
Grow up. Not everyone needs to like the characters you like. Just because they don't like a character doesn't mean they want "goody submissive" female leads. Stop assuming shit and putting words into people's mouths.
I'm so over calling people out for disliking a character for being a female, when people are disliking a character for their actions. Gender has literally nothing to do with it.
Wow Twitter is actually giving me high blood pressure because everyone there hates soo jung FOR TELLING HER POV.…
People hate Se Ho; it's just nobody is commenting on it because nobody is surprised by his actions.
People are criticizing Soo Jung, because she never once confronted Bok Soo about anything she saw. She just assumed for the worst. Se Ho ruined Bok Soo's life, but Soo Jung partook in it greatly. They both should be judged for their actions, but Soo Jung is getting more backlash NOT because she's female; I really wish people would stop coming to this ridiculous conclusion.
She's getting more backlash because Bok Soo trusted her, he thought they had a special relationship and understood each other. She was the person he had the greatest affection for, and she betrayed him. And you can't argue Se Ho's relationship with Bok Soo was as sincere, because quite frankly, they were casual friends at best--nothing compared to what he thought he had with Soo Jung.
but yeah, would have to pick a series that more caters towards a korean demographic. Tbh it wouldn't be too farfetched for a movie maybe. Movies tend to have more freedom
Since Im not biased because I like both main actors/leads....I like both characters BS also has flaws but he is…
I was agreeing with you, dw lol. The other person is just looking at this drama through only positive lenses when the characters should definitely be criticized.
I mean hell, I was the first person on this page excited for a new YSH drama, but can also admit his character is seriously flawed here, so I don't see why others can't even try to look at it through another perspective.
I don't see a single comment on this page that suggests people "being hateful towards female characters when they’re…
I don't feel attacked lol; I welcome discussion.
1) sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were referring to values in relation to morals.
2) These views are actually almost completely tied to misogyny. Korea is a very conservative country, and you'd be surprised how many men still have this mindset that women should submit to them.
The reason I said this is irrelevant here though--is because people on this page specifically, are disliking her for entirely different reasons that has nothing to do with what OP said. You guys can defend liking her; I just felt the need to respond to the assumptions that were thrown, because I have read every comment on this page, and I assure you, nobody wants her to be "submissive".

1) I didn't mention anything about my personal set of values, so I'm not sure where you're bringing this up from.
2) This quite literally doesn't have anything to do with my point about the drama or the person I was responding to.
My comment on misogyny was to show op that people don't exactly want "submissive" female leads. Their post (and yours) makes huge assumptions.
I am all for character growth. If her character improves//there's a logical reasoning to the their misunderstandings, she has plenty room for redemption. However, at this point in the drama, some of her character's actions are worth criticizing. I'm also tryig to speak from a more objective viewpoint. As much as I love YSH, his character is also worth criticizing, so like I said, no double standards.
Also, kinda over everyone being hateful towards female characters when they’re not submissive and nice by default.…

What I do see is people being annoyed by her unwarranted attitude towards Bok Soo *at this point in the drama* (myself included). This could very well change in later episodes, but for now we're posting our thoughts on the characters with what we're given so far, cuz you know... episode discussion..
So yeah, this has nothing to do with being not submissive and nice (I'm pretty sure nearly everyone commenting here is against misogyny anywho). And I also personally drop plenty of dramas solely because the male leads are dicks - no double standard here.
Good lord, idk how she could mistake that roof scene as Bok Soo pushing Se Ho. It was so obvious he didn't push him. There better be some other reason, cuz I'm not buying it.

My favorite currently airing drama.
