Would have loved to avoid childhood friend route, but this drama has been dealing with tropes very well.
I initially thought it was Kim Mi So and Sung Yeon, but someone commented on reddit that it's probably Young Joon, seeing as Kim Mi So's childhood friend was kidnapped, and he's afraid of cable wires
Halfway through this drama, so far don't understand all the negative remarks about how much worse it gets. Sure the writing isn't the best, but lol, if this drama has bad writing... then so many other dramas out there are downright terrible.
Maybe I haven't gotten to the part where it goes all downhill yet, but the amount of comments saying it went downhill from the few eps is many. I feel like people were just commenting to jump on the hatewagon(?)
And no, I am not biased towards any of the actors; in fact I even dislike Ji Chang Wook somewhat, but this drama is decent so far.
edit: It went pretty downhill as I got into the 20-30s, still not as bad as people make it out to be though. Crime and law was done pretty sloppily, and romance was questionable between main leads, but the side characters were a joy
It's not stiffness.its the character he's playing.
I haven't seen that scene, but I'm almost certain it's his character or the directing. Lee Sang Yoon's character singlehandedly made me drop this drama. He has the same blank dumbfounded face 90% of the time.

Pyo Ye Jin reminds me of her character in Fight For My Way. Innocent, cute, ditzy on the outside, but actually sly and cunning and a manstealing slu- er pardon my language. Or maybe she's actually just ditzy...
Hmm the 2nd ep was a lot weaker than the 1st one... There were a lot of fillers too.
Definitely weaker, but it did fill us in a lot of background information, and opened plot points like Yeong Joon's relationship with his brother, and what Mi So is searching for.
Yes! I'm really glad as well, since a lot of knetz were criticizing him for not looking the role prior to airing, but he's doing so well and enjoying himself!
