Thank you for your beautifully written summary. It really encapsulate my views on South Korea. I have watched and enjoyed so many kdrama and your summary explain why I have just never been drawn to the country itself. I have also watched so many Turkish series as well and I cannot begin to tell you the love I have for Turkiye all inspired from just watching dizis. The toxicity imbedded in almost all facets of South Korean society scares the living daylight out of me and I just can't imagine the level of psychological trauma an average Korean is subjected to on a daily basis.

I am glad someone else think this series is definitely devoid of reality. I would have loved it if she actually revenged all those people who cheated or betrayed her and then after sometime and some contrition on the side of the wrong doers forgive them. Instead a whole lot of malfeasance was swept under the rug in order for the FL to appear saintly or forgiving. I don't get why they always think a mature woman must gravitate towards barely adult male-child after a bad relationship. That troupe is so overused and not convincing at all in this series. The annoyance I went through every time I saw FL so-called love interest😒was enough temptation to drop the series.

I wholeheartedly agree with the article analysis. It's one of the reasons, I no longer watch Kdrama while the series are ongoing. I am able to tame my disappointment and sometimes angst when they start off so promising only to lose focus such as QOT.

That ending left so much to be desired! I thought this was about the FL and ML? Really? The moment they introduced the mother's illness so late in the series changed my love for the series. It would have been too late redirecting the focus back to the main lead and ending would have been rushed. This had so much going for it until they decided to mess it all up.

You nailed it! Why in God's name is KSR is going and coming as she please to the restaurant? If WJD kidnapped Anna, that just illustrate how stupid the leads are. That crazy man demonstrated to them in the past that he will use Anna he he wants to yet they have not put measure in place at the child's school and there is no delineation between the restaurant and the living quarters. It is baffling to say the least.

I understand the rationale behind her behavior but she clearly went overboard and that negate some of her justifications. She was beyond obnoxious. The fact that she was still unrelenting even after her daughter took the blame and apologize to the guests, made it clear she was not going to sacrifice herself to save face and she had the nerve to attempt disowning her daughter? There is no excuse under the sun for her action.

Still on the fence on this one. Definitely need to watch more before deciding if this is a keeper.

I don't think they need to shut down Granny's house at all. They need some strategically placed cameras in the house including KSR bedroom, Granny's office and her bedroom. I wish Granny had asked for a camera in her hospital room before hand. That audio device underneath her bed is not enough. Some important revelation already took place before the device was
placed in the room. AeJa already dropped her brother in-law's name as the culprit behind Ms. Yang' hit and run.

The series will need to be longer than 16 episodes for that high octane level of drama. If that happens, that could throw a wrench in the king's plan because I think he wants to hand over the throne to his nephew at some point. I think that is the reason why he is not interested in any woman until he discovered his favorite person is a woman after all. That will be interesting twist. Queen Dowager will truly have a fit!

no kidding. I can't stand her. Beats me how she insist on being LaLisa's 'best friend' when she is being shoved and abused by Lisa. She is becoming a nuisance and the only time she gets a backbone is when dealing with Anol.

You took the words right out of my mouth. 20 minutes was too long for me. Not all series needs a remake and this here is the proof. Every imaginable thing you can think of in a series is so bad with this one. I hope these are not new actors because it will be sad for this show to define their prospects. Business Proposal does not need a remake.

This is one of the most frustrating daily Kdrama I have watched in a while. Hae In jumping into the ocean to save KCH makes no sense whatsoever. Yes, he should be punished for his heinous crimes but to risk her life and that of Jin Woo? Makes no sense at all. The way some villains get redemption in some of these series is so dumbfounding.
The acting was subpar from several of the characters/actors. Sena mom's expression was the same throughout the series. Her crying or angry expression came across as someone trying too hard and it was so unnatural.
The make up on Jin Woo and Do Hyun just too much. It was an eyesore each time they appeared on the screen. They both looked so pasty and ugh.....
The costume department did HaeIn dirty. Her dressing from the beginning to the end was more than drab. Even when she became the head huncho she was still dressing like a very old ajumma. That ridiculous shoes that she wore from the time the adult Hae In came on screen to the very end should be incinerated. It's the most ugly footwear I have ever seen on a series lead.
Overall, all I can give this series is 6/10.
