I actually did not know any of that. Thank you for taking the time to explain. I thought that since there are long sageuk dramas like Six Flying Dragons then it might be possible (to do 50+ eps ÷ 3 seasons). If the first season did great in ratings, they would get more money to make the next season. Whatever the case, I hope the drama is good.

It makes no sense to me that they would split up 18 episodes into 3 seasons and have it scheduled like this instead of airing it all together and calling it one season like the rest of kdramas but I guess???? Maybe they aren't done filming the last part or they're trying to accomodate a Netflix format in some way. I know Kingdom is doing things differently as well. Idk about production cost and all that but if TVN can make three different dramas with high profile actors why can't they put all their money into this one drama especially if they expect it to be a blockbuster success.
