NRTA (National radio and television administration) was in Qingdao today to check up on the drama and there was a small symposium with the creative team in charge of the series, Linmon media released the info. They also talked to Xu Hongyu and Xiao Zhan.
One thing of interest here is that the drama should air in summer 2027 according to Linmon. There was a whole bunch of other things about cultural impact, post production, etc.
It's also about to be done with filming, might even be today so we will have a wrap up video very, very soon.
The info seems pretty solid now so might as well bring it here. There are very strong indications that the drama will have extensive reshoots, starting after the filming for TI10D is done, that should last around a month. It won't be long now so we will know soon enough if this is indeed true.

The cast is correct now, again and I don't understand why it was ever changed back. Anyway those who seem to have trouble with basic facts can refer to the new rules published by the China Television Drama Production Industry Association, the China Online Audio Visual Program Service Association and the Actors Committee of the China Radio and Television Social Organizations Federation, called a "Notice on Regulating Actor Credits in Television Dramas" on June 12th 2026 and the official announcement made based on the new rules by the official drama Weibo account as well as the trailer that was published there on June 24th (links to both already exist on this page).
Whoever has a problem with the official announcements and/or the rules of billing is welcome to go and file a complaint to the Chinese authorities. I am sure they will be very keen to listen to your bitter nonsense.
Back in the real world, the news is still that the filming is going to wrap up in the second half of July though they are working long hours.

Xiao Zhan carries his own dramas, he is the absolute main lead. He picks roles according to what interests him and what challenges him as an actor. He isn't going to change that, his upcoming projects are no different.
