It is quite important to know that Stand-ins and Doubles are a major part of every shoot globally.
They are vital team members for the following reasons:

The actor's schedule - Sometimes, to save time and money, they'll use a stand-in for minor shots (back of the head, hands etc) to avoid having the actors go into overtime. Also, sometimes a second unit shoots additional footage with doubles while the main actors film more important stuff elsewhere. They can't be in 2 places at once.
Camera rehearsals - To save time most productions rehearse the lighting and camera angles with stand-ins while the actors are in hair and make-up. This helps prevent all crew from having to work longer hours while waiting for the actors to be ready.
Safety/Skill - It's not safe to make an actor do everything. That's literally why stunt doubles exist. Also, if an actor lacks a skill (such as dance or playing an instrument) for the sake of authenticity it looks better if an expert films those scenes instead.

The only people complaining about this stuff are those that have no idea how shows are made.
