Actually the romantic undercurrent is so strong ♡♡♡.
I understood that I can only hate JN at the beginning. Slowly started loving her now I am sure she is going to be an amazing character. Now, when I look back I seem to love her even in the idiotic moments of the past. She acts by delibration and there is so much pain...behind them. I wish she can be more carefree and be herself now that she has found some loyal friends of her own.

The book is different ..with a harem tag. Personally don't think it is going to happen in the drama. In the drama there are a lot of maids/female characters around him but as of now he is romantically inclined towards only one...and that is something that grew over years. No sexual relations with any of his maids.

Romance is not the main focus. So there are no obsessive stalkers kind of people(except for a support role who goes behind another support role don't know how that will turn out) and there are no love triangles that ruin the show.

There is romance. But it is more subtle and hidden coz there are powere struggles around and you can't just wear your heart on your sleeve kindo.... we will have to infer many things from their non existence.
I liked the love btn main leads in luoyang. Its an emotional bond and they work together very well. Here, the romance is kind of similiar in essence but the focus is not on romance. In luoyang we get to see how the leads got together...but here we are introduced into their story in the middle.

Yep . I would always think that if Jiang Ni ended up marrying XFN she would ask him the key to the treasury....and spent her days counting coins. Pu Ye on the otherhand will be amongst books. XFN will still be lonely. Poor soul.

According to the spoilers I read, He marries jiang ni and they have a daughter together.Nangong Pu ye also marries XFN though am not sure why she marries him.
