I just finished watching it, that drama was tugging on my heartstrings a whole lot while watchin it, I always love it when the ML gets all clingy and sweet with the FL. Can you recommend some more?

The movie focuses on growth and hope, growth on both characters and hope for their future (together or not) they did reconcile at the end but there were no assurance that they ended up together (this kind of assurance in movies are typically shown by kissing or saying 'i love you') I think the writer of this show wanted to show the audience "hope" instead of those typically shown happy ending that happens in romance movies, the writer wanted the ending to be open rather than telling everyone that "it's a happy movie with a happy ending".

The ending sure did leave me questioning if they ended up together or not but I mostly felt satisfied because they reconciled and the hope that wasn't present half the show finally showed itself on the ending. I do hope they ended up together tho...

I don't think that's what it means, sadistic is a person or a thing that gives pain right? I think the writer means good and that he/she/they meant it as something that can cause pain to people/watchers because of it's tragic or sad ending, it's not sadistic because of its story but mainly of what you feel after watching the ending, pain. The writer didn't say anything offensive about the drama as far as I know.
