Although fl is slightly annoying in the context of a romance drama, where she doesn‘t seem to trust Nan Heng at all until much later (I‘m at ep 9), I think from a logical perspective it does make sense that it is very hard for her to think well of him. I mean in ep 3 he tried to kill her like ten times, so isn‘t he quite cruel himself😭

As a person who dislikes amnesia plots a lot, I don’t mind it so much in this drama haha. She’s not so dumb and doesn’t even believe her “father” blindly even after all the brainwash she was subjected to. So I’m looking forward to the character growth and how they will overcome this.

Very mixed feelings until now. I had found the acting of MZY a bit too emotionless until now even if the character is meant to be like that. I like to see vulnerability as well. The story is quite exciting but I guess some new Cdramas can go a bit overboard with the “character have everything under control and have everything calculated”. I have watched until ep 20, probably will continue a bit more, see how it goes.

Oh yes! I also get the feeling of two very close friends between Mudan and Jiang Chang Yang, I don't feel the chemistry. I guess it just dragged out a bit too much and there wasn't much romance until like episode 25 where you get some sense of jealousy from Jiang Chang Yang haha

Yes ngl, I also paused the drama. I watched until episode 26. I think it's good and at the same time not that good. FL is a strong woman tho in my opinion, why do you think the opposite? Does something happen in eps 27-29

I'm having mixed feelings about this drama. It's really good, like I love Mudan, she's very likeable. But she almost becomes too good and it appears to me that she moves on from traumatic events quite easily. It becomes a bit unrealistic and I don't feel much empathy for her like that. Is it just me?

Is it just me, but the heavy makeup of Luo Mei doesn't seem really fitting for a general...?

I really hope they reveal her background because the plot does seem to be driven a lot by the male leads and their backstories, while she seems to have little influence in the direction of the story. As you said they are using her innocence and trust, and I am curious on how she'll react to that when he finds out.
