Filipinos are actually multilingual. They consider English as their second language.
There is no conscious decision when we switch from language to language. If we feel like a thought is better said in English, then we speak in English. It just happens automatically. That's how it is for me, at least. People usually adjust their way of talking if they sense that someone doesn't know much English, it's especially true when talking to people who didn't go to school. That's when the switching becomes intentional.
Here's another video demonstrating code-switching. It's a talk show where the host constantly switches from English to Filipino and vice-versa. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpR-3INP1jc
It seems like I'm not the only one who really liked the first two episodes, got disappointed with the following episodes, but then ended up really enjoying the last two episodes lol. I thought this will just end up as meh on my list, but the ending really saved it for me.
Ben's acting is a bit distracting sometimes... That said, I really like where this series is going. The story is gripping. Man's acting is also great. I love how he delivers his lines, feels very authoritative yet calm. I don't get how some people are saying his character is too much? Seeing how Pat is behaving, his actions and words are more than warranted. He didn't even say anything over the top. Also, I rarely ship straight pairings, but Pat and Nan would really be cute as a couple lol
I was quite disappointed with the ending not because it was bittersweet or sad but because I feel like it wasn't consistent with what they were building up in the previous episodes. I'm not really sure how I would have preferred it to end but what they gave us wasn't satisfying to me. It's like all those stuff about the mystery, the ghosts, and other stuff were all for nothing. But I have to say, aside from ITSAY, this is probably one of the best scored Thai BLs. The music made most scenes more impactful than they actually were.
It's kinda giving (or maybe I just like their visuals too much lol). I hope it doesn't get very cringey 🤞Although I do agree with the comments about the acting and some scenes being too long. I also don't like how some of the messages are too on the nose like the stuff about seniority and toxic work culture. I just hope we get a decent build-up of their relationship.
They are trying too hard to do something different and it's totally falling apart for me. I'm losing interest…
I thought I was the only one. 😠This has been my exact experience with the series. The third episode and all the ones after it felt very different than the first two episodes. I'm still waiting to get the same feeling I got after watching those two...
1) Why did Makeo suggest that??? 2) And most importantly, why did the two not even question the craziness of it all? 3) If Makeo never said what she said, what would Eiji and Makki have done instead?

Even when talking in text, we use two to three languages. Look at this tweet for example https://twitter.com/i/status/1652916143999569920?t=vFifX_J-0doqIabhq3P4TA&s=19
