What do you mean by her grieving for him at death's door (if she knew who he was)?
@Eleison I think it means: He might die by trying to get revenge on Wei yang (Prime minister of Yan/his uncle), or from the constant exposure to the dangers of war and his enemies (if he were actually Yan Zheng, he wouldn’t be in as much danger for being at war, but as the Marquis, he is the person most wanted dead in war), so not trying to worry or make her grieve in that aspect.
👍Yes, kudos to the director for being a good sport. He gets a lot of abuse from certain members, e.g. in Ep11…
Regarding the reason why there is a PD episode, it was done as a belated birthday gift for FCC, as he had always wanted to try being PD. As you mentioned, other members have had episodes dedicated to them, and the staff thought it would be fun.
Abandoning Sha Yi and Zhang Ruonan isn't ideal, but he doesn't have much choice because he wants to protect his team's key item (with Zhang Ruonan, he wants to protect their red beauty orange). He isn't a strong player in the name tag ripping game either, so escaping from a strong player like Zheng Kai or from Bai Lu's team, which had lots of members surrounding them could be a better option.
As PD, he may have tricked Li Runyui, but he gave him his gold award in compensation, as shown in Li Runyui’s vlog. Plus, the members often trick and lie to each other to achieve their goals in the game, so I don't think viewers should take it too seriously — it's just a game.
Overall, some people may not like his on-screen persona, but others do. Each member adds a different and positive effect, and I think he makes the show much more funnier with his humour.
