Yang Yang deliveres on the hype
I loved it till the end, not a single episode felt boring. No one could have played Han Li better, he excelled every aspect of the character. I hope Season 2 to come soon and have Yang Yang as Han Li again, I won't be able to digest any other actor leading this drama.I just hope next the there's a bit more emotions into play in the next part, people doesn't keep dying like ants. And I also hope it to deliver more on the romance prospect, it felt completely lackluster this season with the female lead have almost no screen time, even other support female characters had more screen time then her.
I just hope that season 2 is aired in the first half of 2026.

It's better than Imperial Coroner
It's among the only 2-3 dramas which I've been able to complete till the end in last couple of years. Most dramas nowadays get draggy towards the end but not this one, great production along with great acting does the job for me. Music in this drama is surely among the top 5 (all time c-dramas).But what I like most about this drama is that the romance doesn't spoil the story like most others, you will enjoy every romantic scenes in this drama.
Story - 9/10 (great cases but nothing new or extraordinary)
Music -10/10 (among the bests)
Acting -9.5/10 (great acting by both ML and FL, support cast was a bit lacking)
Overall- 9.5/10 (best in 2025 for me)

Good Story with a mediocre finale
If you want a lot of romance scenes, go pas t this one. It has has slight romance, comedy and a few action scenes. Everything's average, or even below average at some point. But all those average things make it a light watch drama. So if you don't want any complex to watch at times like me, then go for it.If you are looking for a lot of action this ain't for you either, the action scenes are okeish and few in number.
As for the romance, it doesn't have many romance scenes, but at the same time doesn't have any love triangle either. So it's pretty much angst free to watch.
