But i guess they changed the story, to present it better to the watchers. FYI They also changed Yi Chen's profession & He was a lot more tolerant of ji Xing starting her entrepreneurship vs what was shown in the drama.
The reason why they mentioned Gao han as a main character is because shao Yichen had presence in 1/3rd of the novel. Which was not the case with the drama.
