Is it just me, or is Jim super unlikeable so far. I get he's going through his own development but like... Wen…
He’s trying his hardest to support himself, his family and his friends despite all the crap that life throws at him. He has flaws, but there’s a lot of good in him.
I think everyone needs to calm down about the clip from next week. It's an edited clip out of context. But as…
I like Jim, but that out of context line was disappointing to hear, so I get people's reactions (not the extreme ones). His concerns are obviously legit, but I just hope Li Ming can find support and not feel alone. It's just all speculations for now. I can't wait to be wrong honestly. About the fake kiss, now I think they wanted to save the real one for My School President, to not divert the attention from that one. I agree about the external factors. The incidents were a bit lame.
I like how they handled Jean’s story. She didn’t forgive him in the end, and that’s right, because some things can’t be fixed no matter how guilty you feel and how much you apologize. That was a really traumatic experience she went through, and I can’t even imagine the pain she had to endure at the time and throughout her life after that. No one should underestimate the severity of her experiences.
Luckily for Alex, he has magic on his side lol and will probably be able to fix his past mistakes, which is good <3
It's because he knows how hard it is to live like him that he doesn't want it for his nephew. Jim has serious…
I see. I guess my interpretation of the character was wrong. I didn’t think he was struggling with internalized homophobia, because he seemed to be fine with his ex, Gaipa’s confession and the kids in his restaurant, he even talked about the importance of happiness, but when it comes to Li Ming suddenly it’s not ok. I’m used to seeing this come from straight characters, so I was surprised. I thought that he rejected Wen because he wasn’t ready, due to his past relationship. I do also remember that in an earlier episode he said to Wen that he agrees with the idea that same sex love is not bound to be successful, so his reaction shouldn’t be surprising.
Can we not do this again? People drink and have sex all the time It's fine unless someone is unresponsive. Most…
Yes and I do prefer sober characters, just in that specific case it seemed fine to me. I also find it strange, because Uea is not in denial of his sexuality or anything. Why should he be so rude to King? Even if he was really a player, they casually slept together, it’s not like they’re in a committed relationship. Your explanation makes total sense unfortunately.

The problem I have with it is that it’s a plot device that’s used as a cop out. It’s like they can’t find any other way for two characters to get close. It’s so overdone and uninteresting. It happens in every series… at least Uea didn’t throw up or get a towel bath lol
As always they’re expecting the sex scenes and visuals will carry the show. They’re hinting at a storyline, but I doubt they’ll develop it nicely… I’ve been waiting for this for a long time though, so I’ll keep watching and hope that it gets better.
But based on the first episode I wouldn’t get my hopes up. I’m a bit disappointed. I wished they introduced everything and at least the main characters better, instead they used 30 seconds of the episodes to present their names and their main “characteristic” and called it a day. It makes the characters feel extremely flat. But people watch it for a different reason I guess… so why waste time on making an actual story with multi dimensional characters that don’t feel like caricatures…
And I don’t understand the trend of making people pay for a couple extra seconds…
You're right, in fact I didn't take it too seriously.
