He has not directed 2gether tho? And Friend Zone is amazing and loved by many people. Not sure why you think it’s a train wreck or queer baiting… Joss and Tay’s characters are both into men and women. Jojo has always something different to offer, likes to portray people realistically and depicts sensitive topics in a tasteful and progressive way, that’s what I like about his works.
I’m so glad Army and Joe managed to communicate and solve their issue. It was exactly what I thought and I like how they depicted it. They make a beautiful couple. Alex “saving” all the straights, lesbians, gays and everyone else when he has no experience at all is so absurd that it’s hilarious, he’s just following his gut feeling haha He’s a genuine and nice person who would do anything to help his friends (I mean he is doing it for himself too lol) and that’s why I like him. He’s not perfect, but he’s truly showing that he’s ready to change himself for the better.
I wish the story was better executed, but I can’t help but root for Lian and Kuea’s love. They’re beautiful. And NuerSyn are perfect. So I enjoyed it anyway.

Indeed, for some people it might all seem obvious, but like you said, there are still many people who need to hear it. To either be educated or to feel like they’re not alone in their experiences. Unfortunately there’s still a lot of ignorance around these topics.
