That was something that threw me off too (not enough to make me drop it, but I was pretty disappointed), so I get what you mean. To me it did get a lot better, the push and pull between Aye and Akk continues, but there are some things that surprised me in a very positive way. Personally, I love this show. (no product placement is also a huge plus, they really focus on the story and characters without those boring filler ad scenes)

Well said. It’s not about determining who’s right or wrong and picking a side. These characters are all very nuanced and imperfect like every human being. Their just trying to figure their lives out through what they know. Akk’s trying his best to meet everyone’s expectations, while neglecting himself, his needs and desires.
First of all, that kiss was beautiful, the entire scene was. The chemistry those two have is out of this world. Second, Aye’s mom saying “You’re not leaving me too, are you?” and the sheer concern on her face destroyed me ;-;
so... I know what everyone says about this series, but I decided to watch it anyway (it might be worth it for a few laughs).
