I like over the top acting if done well. But the acting of Izumi's actor was especially bad. It feels like the people behind this movie didn't really care about producing something decent. I didn't feel anything at all while watching it. I couldn't connect with the characters nor with the story. Also, they could have changed some of the questionable stuff. I think that the thai version will easily be better than this one. Looking forward to Kaownah and Turbo!
I think that it's meant to indicate that the characters are mixed.
yeah since Sat spoke Korean too, I thought he could be partly Korean. So they use the fact that the characters can speak multiple languages to highlight some parts of the script.
I'm a big fan of the animated scenes. I loved it in WRU and YNEA too. The art style is really beautiful. I've always wondered who's the artist behind those.
Feel the same bro...Ultimately it's just other story, right?...But, this could be a better way if it's gonna be…
Showing an healthy relationship and censoring same sex love are two different issues.
What I would like is for this series to be adapted uncensored, without the toxic stuff, which is beyond problematic (and not just the sexual assaults, but also the homophobic idea of two men in a same sex relationship describing themselves as straight, and behaving like one is trapped in a relationship with the other who’s worryingly obsessed), but I know that’s never going to happen.
If only it was made in Taiwan and by someone educated about the topics.
This story holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first bl series that came out (I thought I could just ignore the bad stuff and pretend it wasn’t there), but maybe it should stay in the past, because, let’s be real, there’s no place in 2021 for such an outdated bl.
So no, I don’t think bromance/censoring/queerbaiting is better than the problematic stuff. They’re both awful.
All theories are gone now hahahahaI loved this episode. I know people are going to point fingers at only one characther,…
yeah sometimes people forget that it's not a court trial where they have to decide who's guilty and who's innocent, who's right and who's wrong... reality is not black and white. We can see the strenghts and flaws of each character.
I agree! I love when they manage to actually build a story, despite the short lenght of the episodes.
Most people seem to enjoy it for one reason or the other despite it being very cliche ahah and I'm personally not a fan of the office setting, but it's a nice watch, I like the main characters, they seem to have good chemistry and I want to see their story develop.
I love how they didn't demonize the mother, but at the end they acted like mature adults and really did what was best for Sora. She expressed that she wanted to live with her mother, father and Shun and she seems to be truly happy this way. Just Nagisa and Shun would have been amazing dads, but Sora loves her mother too so she couldn't have possibly been excluded from the picture, unless she really wasn't fit to be a parent, but she got the chance to make it right and that's beautiful. I'm sure that she will spend a lot of time with her dads too and Goemon ahah (what a cute dog!). What Nagisa did at the trial was very selfless indeed. I loved how Shun supported him the whole time. The way they showed society's reaction was very realistic, especially in a small town like that. Everyone will gossip about anyone, but at the end most people won't really care and will be accepting. Also, I just love movies that show Japan's countryside, it's a beautiful sight and it's also calming and relaxing to watch compared to the frenetic life in the city. It reminded me of the movie "Risutato wa tadaima no ato de" another japanese bl movie set in the countryside.
