Better than I thought it would be, given the setting.
Ok, so this is the second GL I'm watching from the Four Seasons series. After watching the first episode I immediately thought this is going to be far worse than Earth, since the whole premise of the show is based on a rather annoying & silly plot device. Opposed to that I've been pleasantly surprised, Like sure, as a direct result of the aforementioned premise, 30 minutes from e7 is very trash lakorn-y / makjang soapy, but the rest is fairly entertaining throughout the entire run of the show. I wouldn't say this is a drama with much depth, but there is definitely way more of it than in Earth, the acting is also far superior. Both lead actresses have done really well here. Though this show is also quite juvenile at times.
Anyway once again I've been entertained, so to the next one I go, but even so a rating of 8 would be too high, given everything I've seen here. It's a guilty pleasure type of feeling, but objectively I could easily pick it apart. Decided to give the story 5 stars instead of an arbitrarily low number like 2, because I have not foreseen the twist. Not saying it's not obvious or anything, but the juvenile storytelling -across 2 GLs- I've been subjected to before it happened made me blind to it, so in a sense I guess gg, well played?
