Wow! Just wow! I came directly from watching Legend of the Female General and the difference between the characters the FL is playing in them is so mindblowingly great that I had to check if it really is the same actress! She is fantastic in both characters roles and is now one of my top favorite FLs!
The drama itself places comfortably besides ”When I Fly Towards You” as my main feel good dramas of all time. It is really great. Not a single anxiety attack!
Liu Hao Cun is so amazingly beautiful and she did an extraordinary job in this drama! I want more! The ML is good too but is constantly outshined by the FL!
I was watching this drama and was rating it slightly above 7 and around 8 (that is for me a very good drama that I will remember as really enjoyable). However, the last 10 minutes alone blew the roof off and skyrocketed it to a very bright 10. This is a drama about three extraordinarily (is that a word? ) interesting individuals that you DON'T want to miss. See it!

The absolutely masterful buildup and engaging characters will totally wreck a human with any kind of functional empathy in episode 52-54. It is so heartwrenching, emotionally devastating and sad. Zhou Lu Si and Leo Wu are so, so, SO good in their roles. In fact the whole cast of the emperial family in one particular scene will break you with their emotional acting.
There are some massively heroic performance from ML in this show. It is almost impossible to understand how the actor can keep the stone face in front of Shen Yue. She is so beautiful and her smile could melt anyone. I find myself smiling constantly when she is on screen.

It is not weird. It is not confusing. It is about people not about murder. The "chrimes" are backdrop to a story about a woman that feel a connection to another person for the first time in her life. Sadly the person is as troubled as she is.
