I think it's the opposite. People who react so excessively to his harmless remark are very conservative.
this is ALSO true sexism and gender discrimination. it's the same, except that one is more brutal. if we want to fight misogyny, we need to talk about it ALL. his kind of misogyny gives birth to the iran kind of misogyny. pls understand that. I'm not hating on him, I'm just telling you that it is serious.
okay, that remark was yikes, but it wasn't THAT horrible to hate on him all these years later... come on
okay so I'm not hating on him. I'm not a fan of his. I still watch his dramas, but let's be honest it was a bad remark, for lack of a better word. I think most people here still watch his dramas while acknowledging that he has made such remarks or is capable of making such remarks. And that's okay. I think people were disappointed ad they're his fans. I don't care because he's just another actor for me and if I like his shows I'll watch them but I don't follow him
It's a one time remark that was made about 9 years ago. I don't have time and energy to keep hating on someone…
keep defending him. he was old then. he is older now. he never apologized for saying that as far as I'm aware, but also I don't really follow him so correct me pls. but pls know that misogyny is why women get murdered and raped and it's also why they don't get equal pay to men and they can't become class monitors in schools and they're forced into marriages as young kids and are raped by their husbands. there's obviously degrees to misogyny but he showed that he is a misogynist and that was not okay. a lot of girls like him, so even if he was a misogynist, he should've kept his thoughts to himself. it may seem like a stupid and harmless comment, it is NOT okay. I truly hope he apologized to moon chaewon though. she seemed uncomfortable.
