Hmmm I only thought so because he did have interesting roles since 2024. Like General Qiu Qingzi in White Cat Legend , Engineer Gao Xuan in 19th Floor, General Xu Cheng Feng (minus his bangs 😂) in Lady revenger returns from fire, Ao Lai San Shai -Third Master/Poison Specialist/Prince of Aa Lao region in Fox Spirit Matchmaker Red Moon Pact, Banker Ji Yuheng in You are my secret, and Liu Chang in FP 1/2. And I feel he is more popular now because people (and directors/producers) have recognised his acting in the above roles although some dramas didn't do that well. Then he also released his singles and album and gave stage performances. And brand endorsements and Hi6 guest appearances as well. Good no? And he still has LBTG and the two modern romcoms. Just makes me think if he was able to choose better roles being with a different company and had the liberty to reject uninteresting scripts.
