Well it's a long story! He actually wanted to take up performing arts as his Major as he was influenced by the glamour and glitz of "Stage" in his junior and high school. But on advice from his parents he took Broadcasting/Hosting as his Major (job security and early settling) and graduated. Actually we can say he entered the showbiz in 2011 as a boy band but chose to withdraw from the band, sat the civil service exam and worked in government for some time for family. He said in an interview that the conflict within him between family and career dream at that time was very intense. He was in the singing bar too but wasn't that successful. Then he got an opportunity to act through a friend and he started taking small support roles and slowly made his way into the circle. He is not a nepo boy, no godfather, not a rich second generation, no resources/connections, so all he relied on was his talent, hard work and persistence! His first breakthrough was web series "Love Nagging" in 2017 but he only got noticed for his support role in "Find Yourself" in 2020! Every role he has played in his career so far are hardwon!! Respect!! Hope his journey forward is smoother and happier.

He said when he was really little he wanted to be an astronomer ๐๐ The first book he bought was about solar system and the milky way and it amazed him ๐๐ฅฐ
He says before he became an actor he was only able to see the bright and beautiful side of being an actor but after engaging in the industry he knows the hardships and difficulties and the physical endurance and mental resilience needed. That's why he finds acting interesting and feels a sense of awe. He also described how he adds his own life experiences to his characters and makes them more 3 dimensional (gives example of his character - Lu Yanzhi- from "Count your lucky stars" drama. When asked how he balances dramas and music he replies film, TV, dramas are his profession and singing and music are interest and hobbies. If there is opportunity to use this ability for TV and films he will be very happy. His focus is on films and dramas he says.
His message - "Take advice from parents and fulfil some of their hopes and ideals but also try and satisfy yourself too. If you have the opportunity and given a chance, pursue your dreams!" ๐๐๐
