All Royals in this drama are scums , it would've been better if they had shown the fall of the empire. The king be like : he is assaulting women publicly, but he is a prince, so it's all right. The queen be like : the fourth prince's wife might've poisoned the food executive her without probing into it. And the lady who aided the queen was beaten to death because she didn't notify her for the shit her son committed, yet she acted like she was doing things for the kingdom. The Ahole prince Zhou be like : I am a prince, I'm gonna keep bothering a court lady but I'm a good prince.
The family of arrogant dumasses. How the fck did the kingdom survived?
The death kong you yue was unnecessary and saddening, Pu yang and her needed a happy ending. The forgiveness for Ji rong was the worst plot, she was beyond redemption. The little brother never grew up , just a simp.
The story makers could've made the villains better, all the story progressed because of naive so called good guys' turning a blind eye towards the traitors/undercover villains.
Although this drama is supposed to be about mother/daughter, the bond between MCH and grandma is much more profound.…
Grandma be like, I gave Grandson (who is basically an orphan) money to study and leave him there, he should be grateful. All my support is for the Granddaughter who was raised in a family friendly environment.
This drama could've so much impact if the focused on Xu kai backstory a bit. But the producer used the first half to show the mom's tantrum and the first boyfriend.
There is the thing. As far as it is revealed, Mr. Yao had been suffering from poverty and loneliness from young age, even when the grandma visited him, Yao was given money for his study and maintenance, then he climbed up the ladder on his own. Grandma didn't create any platform for him despite having the wealth. But in chenguan's case she gave her the entire hotel to manage saying she didn't get the platform to shine. She cared for hotel people as family even to the point of bearing losses but left her own blood to fend for himself. In Mao family only the chenguan stayed in contact with her and she doted on her. Think for a moment, if she brought back Yao when she visited him, he could've been much happier and now she complains about him thinking of only gains.
I know the drama would conclude in a way where it would look like the grandma wisdom worked.
Also, the Mao family specially the mom really irritates the hell out of me, no shame at all.

Her hypocrisy is that, she always wanted to do things on her own to the point where she didn't even take money for house renovation from grandma, now all on a sudden she takes the hotel.
