I came here feeling the exact same way. I feel like the whole show so far didn't need the 7 episodes it has aired…
They are pretty but most of these folks are. And if these were my friends I'd totally believe it if they were dating. But the acting and on screen chemistry isn't there yet. And at DMD they are with folks like NetJJ, TleFirstone (LOVE them), and TeeteePor (who I thought did a good job in DWY). But honestly, I largely blame the writing this time. There's not much for them to work with.
honestly will remember this FOREVER. while i had watched some other bl shows before like heartstopper, young royals,…
RL and Khemjira in particular raise the bar very high! (I also loved Heartstopper and Young Royals, which I rewatch occasionally.) I'd say you should tune into Ticket to Heaven and A Winter Sun, which is airing now and also super well done.
A few others I think are well done even after watching RL & Khemjira: Bad Buddy ABO Desire The Eighth Sense Semantic Error My Personal Weatherman I Told Sunset About You See Your Love Life in Smokey Blue
Maybe you started this too soon after that one. I haven't seen it yet (Duang With You). I'm relatively sober at…
Well maybe you'll like it more than I do. I stopped and started a bunch even from episode 1. Different strokes for different folks, as they say.
And there's not a lot of buzz on here either. 15 hour later and my comment would be buried for other shows. This just lacks passion and a plot line. Its a shame because I like the mains.
I'm all about a good slice of life series, but what even is this? Its so random and I dont see where the deepening relationship we were promised is developing. I tuned in for TutorYim after watching Battle of the Writers, but this doesn't make any sense to me. And the sex talk is too juvenile. Its not sexy. It's not shocking. Its not giving intimacy. Enough already. I feel like I have to finish it becasue I'm so far in but maybe not? I'm not mad, I'm just bored. Go watch Duang With You. That's how you talk dirty, and how you build intimacy over the course of the series.
I agree that this was good overall, but, honestly, I stopped watching for a long time somewhere in episode 3 because I knew what was coming and it was disappointing. Maybe I've just watched too many BLs, but I know we could have gotten a better story. This was released in 2020, not 1920. Weren't gay relationships already normal by then? And what's with the gay marriage/have a family dichotomy? Most of the gay couples I know have kids. Does Japan not allow gay adoption or gestational carriers? Am I the one who's missing something? This aint my first rodeo with this trope, and it's a trope I really dislike, so maybe this just wasn't meant for me.
I'm late to start this series, but I couldn't agree more! I'm not opposed to school dramas, but dang, can't we…
Ha! You're not wrong, but he's definitely more seasoned now. I like it spicy. In Moonlight Chicken he was giving all the flavors! He doesn't need to present the same as he did a decade ago. He's like all the actors that played James Bond, aging in the hottest way possible. He should lean into that mature sexiness! He's only going to get hotter over time.

Right? Trying to present them as 20 somethings makes them look a little ridiculous to me. Especially Earth, who is divinely handsome in his grown man form.
I stopped watching for a minute but I'm on episode 4 now. Damn, I want them to let these men grow up. The actors are all sexy as hell, but they aren't kids. Write them a script where they can revel in their hot AF adult forms!
I think this is gonna hurt a lot. I can't stop watching it even though I know they are about to shatter me. It's so incredibly well done on all levels. Kudos to the actors, directors, writers, and others responsible for this gem.
I hesitated to start this one because the premise looked cheesy. Damn. This is so much better than I expected. Episode 2 almost ended me. I felt every emotion at the end without a word from either of them. I am from a Christian fundamentalist household where we did NOT cast out or try to convert our LGBTQ family members and friends. But I know how this usually goes. And I know how it could go. I also know that sometimes (Thai) BL doesnt grapple with hard issues using the depth necessary to bring us to a meaningful conclusion. Please, Lord, let them write an ending worthy of the beginning of this gem. Amen.
As someone who hates the second couple, nope not gonna take your advice. I'd rather enter the story and break…
Hmm...why do folks hate the brother more than Lu Feng? It really is an interesting question. For me, everyone gets a shot at redemption. But right now, Lu Feng seems to realize that he messed up big time even if he hasn't yet fully corrected course. Little bro isnt trying to understand his role in Yi Chen's misery, and he even benefited from his sacrifices. Also, Lu Feng is the victim of severe physical and psychological abuse from his family. That's a reason not an excuse for bad behavior, and Yi Chen's family is also toxic. But I really don't understand the brother's actions unless I assume he is mainly looking out for his own self interests (or at least acting from his own world view without consultation), even if it means crushing Yi Chen's heart by withholding info and lying.
A few others I think are well done even after watching RL & Khemjira:
Bad Buddy
ABO Desire
The Eighth Sense
Semantic Error
My Personal Weatherman
I Told Sunset About You
See Your Love
Life in Smokey Blue
