Halfway through this one. Its a cute premise, but so far the acting is a little stiff. I wish the actors and the director had tried to pull more emotion out of this because there's potential here.

No disrespect to OFC, which I really enjoyed, but I am so much more obsessed with this one! Like repeatedly rewatching scenes between episode releases obsessed. Checking the next release date every day when I already know it obsessed. Coming here for crumbs to hold me until the next episode obsessed! Maybe I should rewatch OFC to get me through the week!?

This show has wrecked me. Damn, I should have waited! And I've already rewatched all episodes. And I've rewatched the confession about a million times. 😭

100% I got the message about not dominating your partner with your pheromones in the earlier episodes, and I was fine with that, happy even. But its not just about controlling them. This a universe where pheromones and bonds are used for many different purposes, like, I dont know, protecting your mate from a rogue alpha biting them to force a bond. I want them to show the ills of hardened views on gender and social hierarchy, but I also wanted them to show an alternative universe where pheromones dont mean using your power to dominate, harm and control others.

I need more pheromone action please! For all reasons, including healing, soothing, seducing, but most definitely for self defense. Every time shit goes down in this one, I think of Hua Yong in ABO Desire mercilessly torching the ass of every single person who dared to even think his man's name. He was a monster! I realize we arent dealing with enigmas here, but the alphas can still throw pheros to handle business. I really do miss that part of omegaverse lore.

I think the main point buried under all of the missteps in this series is that the rules are buns. Most of the characters don't want to live by them. Thus the Alpha-Beta relationship, Phatsa's dad refusing to bond with the mom, Phat and N not wanting to tell N's dad he's a pure omega, and even Nuea doing whatever the hell he wants, whenever he wants, to whomever he wants regardless of secondary gender status. If they want a redemption arc, great. If that involves Nuea falling in love (in 2 episodes), great. But if they do it taming of the shrew style where Nuea submits imma be pissed...👿🤬😤. And it wouldnt really fit the storyline as I see it anyway.

I read it as protecting his brother as much as his own obsession with Nuea

Good acting turns a pretty face into so much more! I enjoyed watching Xixi and Zhao. I'm not one to consume fan service, but what I have seen of them is chemistry upon chemistry. I assume that's closeness + acting skills.

And I do like Thai BL but I also understand why folks don't. There are some standouts, like I Told Sunset About You and Khemjira. Bible and Apo are two of my faves for similar reasons. Both are hot af and (when they aren't being whitewashed) caramel perfection. They are also good actors that can do steamy, angsty, funny, etc. Zhao, Bible, and Apo all have great comedy chops too, which makes my heart flutter! Sexy and funny? Yes please!

Honestly, I agree. I loved Payback but this one is next level.

This feels more like a crime show and Payback felt more like a BL. Let me be clear, I would absolutely recommend Payback to anyone, so that's not a dis. I am totally vibing with this show as well, and it is clearly a BL. But it feels different to me so I dont compare the two at all.
