Something isn't sitting quite right with me. It feels like they're leaning too heavily on the leads' chemistry—and the fact that so many of us came here from My Stubborn—instead of building a solid foundation first.
The presentation of the ABO aspect is especially weird. Somehow they've managed to both overexplain and underexplain it. ABO Desire took me a while to warm up to too, but eventually it clicked. I'm still waiting for things to fall into place here.
That said, I'll keep watching. I'm curious to see if it settles into something more satisfying and believable as it goes. I'm in. 👀

Why are those damn shorts back?

I agree that Tanrak's struggle was much deeper than a simple romance. At the same time, I had some sympathy for Kongdech. When my best friend came out as gay in high school, I reacted a little coldly at first. Not because I stopped caring about him, but because my understanding of someone I loved, someone I had known since early childhood, suddenly changed.
I think that's why Kongdech felt human to me. When a close friend gets a partner, it can feel like you're losing something. And he did lose something impotant: the platonic intimacy they shared and his life partner in the priesthood. He was focused on his own hurt before he could see Tanrak's. What mattered to me is that he eventually got there. That's what faith is intended to do. I really do want folks to get (and live) that.

Honestly, I don't think Ticket to Heaven will change many minds. But I hope it reminds people that faith and being true to yourself aren't opposites. My family's faith led them to accept me (the only POC in the family) and my lesbian and trans cousins. To me, faith matters most when it's hard—when loving your neighbor requires you to challenge your own biases. My takeaway: don't give up your faith just because some believers have failed to live up to it, and don't give up who you are--or who you love--because others aren't living in love.

I'm really loving this. I love the mains. I love the story. I love the pacing. I love the cinematography. And their chemistry is working for real.

What I dont love is the member's only YT content. Ugh. I already subscribed to the platform I'm watching on, so its not like they need me to pay after providing me with free content. I hope the YT stuff makes its way to the sub service.

My only gripe with Goddess Bless is that the ending wasnt as well written as the rest of.the show. But overall its excellent! The theme song owns space in my head.

And I have to agree about Cutie Pie. The Next Prince is better if you want ZeeNunew (although the female character gets a kinda crap storyline).

I cried from beginning to end. I'm crying as I write this! I don't know if its my own religious upbringing (or the fact that I was around their age during the period they are portraying), but this one hit me hard. It felt so real. And the messaging lives in my heart. So well done. This one raised the bar.

Thats fair. I like slice of life (Life in Smokey Blue) or true comedy (Ossan's Love) as my relief. I'm not feeling the stress of PB or PP yet, but its coming!

Why is it episode 5 and I still cant hold onto the storyline or even identify most of the characters?

Also, I will always recommed My Personal Weatherman, which I think is relatively unique in this genre. I dont think it fits neatly into a common trope. Its not about coming out, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, fated lovers, etc. I like that it's different. Happy to create a more curated list, too.

You definitely have not seen all the good ones in 2 months! There are some hidden (or at least less aggressively marketed) gems out there.

Drunk sex is definitely a thing in BL, and I get why it upsets people. SA is not a joke. But BLs aren’t real life. That said, I don’t want to dismiss concerns about romanticizing drunk sex or SA. The disagreement here seems less about whether SA is bad and more about whether this scene actually qualifies as SA. I don’t think anyone is arguing that SA is sexy; people just interpret the scene differently. If you’re into SA roleplay, do what you love—no kink shaming here. But if you find actual SA erotic, please seek help.
I could be drunk AF and desperately want to sleep with someone (and, honestly, with Taeseon’s hot/dom/lawyer vibe, I'd probably be about it because I'm that b*tch). But IRL, it’s always a fraught situation because a drunk person can’t really consent—or reliably judge whether they have consent. Even when it doesn’t feel like SA at the time, things can look very different once everyone is sober.

With that in mind, Chaeha’s active participation made this feel like consensual, albeit animalistic, sex rather than SA—to me. He was intoxicated but not incapacitated. And I suspect the follow-up storyline will support that reading. I’m also saying this as someone who recently watched To My Shore, Double Helix, and Yesterday, which pretty explicitly depict non-consensual sex. If you hate this scene, DEFINITELY avoid those dramas.

Sigh...I'm a grown-ass woman, y'all, and I'm still not over those shorts. I can't unsee that.

Agreed. And I didn't grow up Catholic, I grew up Southern Baptist. I believe from my experience that the father's reaction is both uncommon (at least in Christian fundamentalist circles) and absolutely based on the bible's teachings as I learned them. Above all else, love. I really felt that in the confession scene. I hope the good father doesn't betray the faith I've now placed in him during the final episode!

They are pretty but most of these folks are. And if these were my friends I'd totally believe it if they were dating. But the acting and on screen chemistry isn't there yet. And at DMD they are with folks like NetJJ, TleFirstone (LOVE them), and TeeteePor (who I thought did a good job in DWY). But honestly, I largely blame the writing this time. There's not much for them to work with.

RL and Khemjira in particular raise the bar very high! (I also loved Heartstopper and Young Royals, which I rewatch occasionally.) I'd say you should tune into Ticket to Heaven and A Winter Sun, which is airing now and also super well done.
