I was especially disappointed with the outright rejection of ABO in season 2! (I haven't read the book, so maybe that's what happened?) I rewrote it in my head so that Charlie was actually an Enigma and Babe got pregnant. I still gave a high rating because I liked it generally and loved season 1. But it could have been epic rather than good.

I'm not touching any of the remarkably sexist views on this thread because there's plenty already written on that point. If you're feeling stung by what I just said do us all a favor and read some critical feminist (and probably race) theory.

My actual comment is that I thought they were using Mok's character to tee up the point that women are, in fact, capable. Thus the follow up response about gender. Let's not pretend like a comment like that isn't based on sexism; shock at a female bodyguard has its roots firmly planted in the patriarchy. I wish they had put it in someone else's mouth, someone who doesn't matter to the story. But, alas, the decision has already been made and executed. Hopefully I'm right and we never hear that again. Otherwise I'm gonna need a redemption arc him.

I assumed Chae was a sub from the first scene and that this was a dom/sub relationship from their first interaction and definitely after the first NC scene. I know elsewhere in these comments folks were getting in their feelings acting like it was SA, when I think it was just Chae giving Tae permission to dominate him (now confirmed while sober). From this thread, it sounds like that's not as originally written, but the sequence still makes sense to me. And while I'm happy to interpret myself, I do wish they had allowed more time for the story to lead me closer to the author's intended conclusions instead. I already miss these two and they aren't gone yet!

I'm too old to be "delulu" about anything. Tripping maybe, but never delulu. And I actually like Jeff Gameplay a little better. None of this matters because neither is happening. I kinda like that Jeff isnt paired like that anyway. And his singing alone puts WB in a different category than this series.

The production, acting, story, etc were a million times better in Wooju Bakery! Jeff and Barcode have chemistry and know how to kiss. It was cheesy but not cult classic level cheesy like this one.

This is enjoyable if you think Svengoolie or Mystery Science Theater 3000 rather than classic Korean BL like Semantic Error or Where You Eyes Linger.

I think the inner conflict is because its so bad that it's good.

I have to admit that I actually liked the crawling, kneeling, and forcing the guy to hit him. I want another show to pick that up and run with it. Love After Addiction teased this idea in the sexiest way possible, but didnt follow through. Here, the execution hit my funny bone hard! It may sound like I'm mocking them, but I'm really not. I LOVE these men and will probably watch this entire show and whatever schlock they come up with next. xoxo cuties!

We will never know the reason why the kissing scenes come off the way they do, I suppose. There are so many factors that could contribute to awkward on-screen kisses. And whether you watch BL for the kissing or otherwise, it's definitely more enjoyable when you arent feeling uncomfortable for the actors. But being generally uncomfortable kissing men seems like an unlikely reason for the lack of chemistry here. This isn't his first rodeo, and it would be a curious decision on his part to continue accepting BL roles for not much money (I assume given the production quality) if he is upset about kissing men.

Also, someone get them an intimacy coach and a book about BDSM.

Why am I watching this? It's so cringe! And yet I know I won't stop. It's so bad its good. These actors are so adorable! How do they do this with a straight face?
