I am surprised how its so faithful to the manhwa while at the same time deliver completely different, much better, vibe. The writer / director deserved throphy for best adaptation and must get another manhwa adaptation. Reading the manhwa i feel sluggish and pitiful toward the MC, but watching drama its just wow, I cant breathe. Idk if its bcs faster pace, minor change of details, the actors delivery or combination of all. In my opinion, this is epitome of creativity trumps all odds. Theres not much to talk on the original source, the production clearly have small budget. But they manage to make drama with limited resource and deliver one of the most heart stopping show this year.
You know i was just thinking if any of the BL actors were gay in real life it'd be tough controlling your reactions…
Even if they are gay its no different than straight actor play bed scene in straight romance. Also its lots of takes with someone directing where the actors shoud look, how they posture should be, Some says bed scene is difficult technical scene, so its not that much turning On situation.
And next episode preview....um..why are still fighting?
that part a bit unclear even in manhwa. But my friend said Iljo saying smthg about healing his wound first. In manhwa step bro also threatened Iljo to out them with pics. And Jeonghan's father ask Iljo to left JH (all without JH's knowledge) made Iljo chickened out of their relationship. soo maybe both factor combined
In the manhwa, the step bros (there were 2 of them, but drama streamlined them to 1 step bro, smart decision)…
Lmaoo, what i mean is of course he shouldnt/couldnt give up inheritance to step bro coz he didnt get any from his father as he is illegitimate adopted son.
Have I read too many toxic manga? because the ML doesn’t seem that bad here. He’s definitely an a hole but…
In the manhwa, the MC used to be beaten up by his step bro. so one can assume he just desentized and trying to say hello to jeonghan in that pitiful situation.
Also if you watch the trailer from gagaoolala, Jeonghan sound soo toxic in how he handle their relationsip
Why should an illegitimate son give up on his heritage just because his step-brother beats and threatens him?…
In the manhwa, the step bros (there were 2 of them, but drama streamlined them to 1 step bro, smart decision) often used Iljo as their punching bag, even to the point of s*xually assaluted him. In the drama I think The stepbro assumed Iljo got some inheritance and threatens him to give it all to them.
Wait so the other one is adopted but then they only found it out until the end which is still weird because they're…
Iljo knew they are not blood related. But Jeonghan didnt. They aren't grew together and the entire family alienate him. He feels no familial feeling to Iljo. And get real, Jeonghan doesn't give a f when desire to control and obsess over Iljo took over. even in manhwa when he knew Iljo adopted he doesnt feel relieved or anything, only regret that his family been hating iljo for no reason.
Thats why this is a toxic BL. Its portraying how desire can overcome logic, moral and social construct. Not everyone can stomach it.
