Geez...you probably just mistaken the lack of complexity of their story as chemistry inconsistency. There is a…
Nah nope. I know my stuff. Chemistry is about being able to make the relationship/s you are trying to portray with your co actor/s believable as if there was no script at all. I get that there story lacks complexity right now and I get that it happens because their story(initial part of it, that is) sort of wrapped up a few episodes back. Same thing happened with Pete and Ae from LBC. However, til the very end their chemistry never faded. You could still feel the love. With Phana and Yo in this series however, it feels like Phana is the only one who's in love because of the acting. And that is why, in my opinion, this couple still lacks chemistry.
It's not that they are awkward. They aren't awkward at all as you said. However, not being awkward doesn't necessarily translates to having good connection and *"feeding" with one another ;)
To clear things up. I'm not here to bash. I like this series as well lol why else would I watch it every saturday???
*To feed another actor is to give off to them feelings that they can use to act better with you in a scene and may help in building chemistry. Not the other kind of feeding...
Phana and Wayo were cute in the congee scene. However, for the rest of their scenes together, they kinda lost me. Chemistry isn't consistent. Sometimes it's there, often times it's not. Wayo and Ming has more chemistry to be honest.
This has to be the best episode yet of Ming and Kit for me. Not only because of the kiss(lol that was cute and Ming is undeniably gorgeous), but also because in this episode, the chemistry finally came through. For me it started with the bed scene. Ming faking being drunk made sense with the cassanova approach of Joong in playing Ming. It made me appreciate his take on Ming more. Add in an annoyed Kit and it's a perfectly cute scene of an Uke and a Seme. I'm actually starting to like them more now. Even more than the leads (lol sorry not sorry).
P.S: Sammy is the best in this episode. She hilarious af.
Phana and Wayo are really cute in this episode! I love how Phana teases Wayo and Wayo acting like he's annoyed but secretly likes it. I was smiling the whole time they were in bed. Phana is so touchy! And his smile and stare just scream "I LOVE YOU, WAYO". However, the bit where Phana got into Wayo's room is stupid. Wayo already locked the door and even put the chains on the door. Lol how did Phana get in. Also, is it just me or there was a mistake in the cut of the first part? Ming and Wayo were already walking home talking about Kit and then suddenly the scene cut into them and Phana eating at a restaurant.
Ming and Kit was cute too. Ming was really smooth in the bookstore scene. I like how he tricked Kit into getting coffee with him. The bit about Beam liking Kit was a shock to me. MingKit still hasn't grown into me. I need to see more of them.
Park is really intriguing. I really like her character a lot. I like how such an innocent face can give us a feeling of a malicious intent. He's a devil with an angel's face to me hahahaha.
I love how the girl from Love Sick and Love By Chance is here! I love her a lot. She's so funny! I hope we get more of her.
Can someone pls tell me where I can watch this with good subs? The one at KissAsian is so bad it pisses me off. I'm at Ep 6 now and I would really love to see the remaining episodes with good subs
Seen Episode 4 and sadly, I still think this version's Ming and Kit have less chemistry than the Ming and Kit of the prev version. I think its because of Joong's approach in playing Ming. Kimmon's approach is an energetic, confident, funny, and aggressive Ming who likes to joke around people. Joong's approach is a charming, good boyish Ming who, still, likes to joke around people, but with a little less confidence and energy. I just feel like the former's approach is better just because of the fact that an aggressive confident person can really get on the nerves of someone like Kit.
Wayo and Phana still has no chemistry. Althoughhhh, the scene on the bed the morning after was cute. I really like how this Phana looks at his Wayo! It's so full of love!
I can't wait for the ForthBeam ship to sail because I think they could be the hope for this series. Both good actors and from what I've seen in the trailer, the chemistry is there!
Okay first of all, I AM NOT A HATER. I just feel like I need to clarify that after seeing how the comment section currently is. I am just here to post my opinion about the show, which may of course be in the form of a criticism, a praise or a combination of the two, and, as already pointed out by a previous comment, everyone is entitled to an opinion. So long as its not offensive to anyone.
Okay so.... I've seen episode 3 simultaneously with the same beach episode from the previous version and I must say, some of this version's actors are much better than the previous version. Phana, for example, in this version you can feel his love for Wayo by the way he looks at him. In the previous version, Phana's eyes were cold even after it was revealed to Wayo that Phana likes him too. In addition, in this version, Phana acts better and makes the story telling even better, even though at times his acting can be a bit cringey. This version's Beam and Forth also acts better than the previous one. At times, this version's Wayo acts better, however whenever he does too much facial expressions than necessary, I start missing the old Wayo just because I think, sometimes, less is enough.
Although the acting is a bit better in this series, I feel like the chemistry is just not there for the leads. I don't really feel the love between them. I think its because of the new Wayo's acting, I guess? Because I do smile from time to time whenever Phana acts in love. You can really feel he's in love. But with Wayo... It's just not there.... In addition, this version's Kit and Ming's chemistry is inferior to the chemistry of their counterparts from the previous version. I don't know if its the new Ming's acting or it's just that they still haven't gotten enough screen time compared to the Kit and Ming of the previous version.
I will see this series' episodes every week still. I'm really curious as to how this would go :)
Agree with this, even Forth x Wayo have better chemistry. It's a pity he wasn't cast as Phan, he would've fit…
I agree! That dinner scene during Ep2 made me smile as I felt the chemistry between them! Somehow, I feel like the actor for Beam would've done such a great job as Phana however he's doing such a great job as Beam already. I wouldn't have anyother Beam but him.
This series has a slightly better production than the first version of it. Actors look good especially Ming, Forth, and Beam. However, the leads are kinda falling flat for me. They just don't have the chemistry for me. And their acting! One is too animate with his facial expressions that in some scenes it seems unnecessary and drags the whole scene. The other one seems a bit too tensed sometimes. Sometimes when they're acting together, I'm sorry, but it becomes a cringe fest. Sometimes even when they're not acting together I cringe at their individual scenes sorry. The rest of the cast is okay tho. I hope this gets better :)
I'm at episode 2 right now and all I can say is that its pacing is off. The story is too fast that the feelings…
Oh and so far, Pan acts the best. Her acting has authenticity to it. Authenticity the rest of the cast still lacks. Well. In as far as I've seen that is.
I'm at episode 2 right now and all I can say is that its pacing is off. The story is too fast that the feelings and emotions suffer. Build up just isn't there. Right now, it feels like a short film rather than a series with the way the story is being rushed. I hope it gets better though. The trailer for this series was so well done and made me expect a lot. Unfortunately, this series hasn't really quite reached those expectations yet :/
There is no BL to watch, I'm bored ..... (I know about the current airing BL and the upcoming ones, none of them…
After this, I watched Skam France Season 3 and it was so good that I watched all 10 30-minute episodes in one sitting! Watch it! It was so amazing I swear! It was just as sweet and passionate as this series!
