All I can say is that, everyone in the drama has trust issues, be it ML or SML or Fl or the king. Even Jiang Ci is still in dilemma of whom to trust. After 10 eps, I stopped expecting about lovey-dovey scenes, I was more interested in the fight between ML and SML. I was awestruck as how they fabricate their plans, and how far-sighted they are. They are always calculating each other next move.
Even though Jiang Ci was rescued by others, she didn't depend on anyone, she knows she was on her own. I love her courage and the way she accept the problem and then look for any clues or solution. She has a pure heart so she still enjoys the little joys of life.
And if we talk about ML, he has too much on his plate to care about others. I saw in the trailer that Jiang Ci was blaming Wu Xiao that he didn't care about her, and he used her to lure her master out. So, I still can't trust him, but we will see in future eps.
Pei Yan was too complicated and smart for his own good, it is true that he was pressurized by his family, but his character is selfish, there no doubt denying that.
I also love the character of doctor Cui, he is only person till now that has shown humane attributes, may be because there is nothing pulling him back, but thats how everyone wants to live. There is still much to uncover, and I still have high expectations, let's see how it goes.
