i think cantonese culture was particularly influential and mainstream in the 1980s and 1990s. it is so common…
Yeah for sure it’s an easy way to clearly differentiate a specific time and place in that era but even now I’m still surprise to see Canto being slipped in in some modern cdramas and vertical dramas.
Last week everyone was like aarggh 1 ep a day, this is torture, I need all the eps now!! This week it’s like arrggh, all eps in a day, I need to resist !!! Anyway I actually grown accustomed to even single ep, just more time to digest all the details in an ep. But let’s see how strong mentally I am next week 🤣
Well, it seems like there was a major drop-off in the scriptwriting and character development in the last few…
I’m actually ok with what’s shown because I enjoyed every scene, was thinking PoJ is refreshing precisely because it always seems to show me what I wanna see or surprise me with unexpected details rather than boring predictable scenes that I want to FF. End of the day there’s always a trade off in what they can show in a 40ep drama.

Yeah it seems to brief without much details. Of coz she was maybe understanding half the letters 😅. So what did General He send back to Wei Yan at the beginning of the show?
