Don't worry. It is absolutely happy ending for not only main leads but also supporting actors. Probably at around ep. 18 and a few eps, you would have heart-wrenching moments, but followed by cuttest and happiest moment. Just enjoy the show!

When he first met her (president Jo Jia) at Ep 1, allergic reaction broke since he knows she is a human (another info: since she's wearing a helmet, he does not recognize her face). But at his place, he firmly believes Aji 3 is a robot, there is no allergy. (As you guess, it is totally psychosomatic.) That fact that for the past 15 years, MK has been almost isolated, and "the invisible gorilla effect," which the researcher team mentioned, have kept him believe Aji 3 is not a human but a robot. (at later eps, we come to know the betrayal of his friend and people he had trusted left long-lasting, horrible scars to MK.) I hope it will help you enjoy the show.
