I thought I was the only one who felt that ZLH loved her more than she loved him. In the village arc she’s more warm and considerate but then later she’s just shown as this self centred character. Basically didn’t enjoy her character all that much past 25+ eps lol
Also in the last arc, the main leads barely get any screen time. Like you or someone else said, they spend so much time apart especially in crucial learning moments of her life which I really disliked.
I loved the acting, cinematography and almost everything apart from the storyline towards the second half 😂 I think both the actors did a phenomenal job and ZLH especially slayed with his aura! I really hope we get another drama with him in such a fierce and powerful role with more action scenes and a better romantic plot!

I have to agree with everything you said! I was actually more excited for the military arc than anything else, I wanted to see Changyu learn from the Marquis, I mean if your interests are aligned to bring justice and you have the Marquis as a husband, just imagine the possibilities of growth and character development and romance opportunity there! Battles and wars aren’t won by simple brute force, it takes a lot of strategy, planning and also hard won experience. Marquis could’ve really shined here :’(
Also I sort of didn’t love Changyu character since she found he was the Marquis. I was so excited for the reveal and the reactions and the aftermath of it but was so disappointed. I stopped feeling her love for him from that point on.
And for all the tension and angst from the first half, I wanted more intimate scenes that are actually done well and not put in as a random afterthought.
