well, that is your perspective. as I was watching it, for me anyway, I did not think it was romantic in any way. I mean, do you really think somebody would've a second to think about kissing "romantically" when their target is about to drown?

And honestly from the get go, GZY character has been weak or weaker anyway compared to other Gong(s) and that is the essence of this drama, the character development of GZY and YWS.

Most of us if not even all of us, doesn't even know his real identity (his Mother's history and whatever those medical records they are trying to keep).

Growing up, he was NOT even on the radar being the SW. It was his brother and GSJ. But according to the rule/law (whatever they call it), the SW should be present when the SW die or something (that is how I understand it - please correct me if I am wrong). So growing up, SW was NOT his priority. That is what this drama about. They never sell GZY character to be this Alpha Male. But I bet you, there will be MORE of his development that will unravel in the coming episodes.

Would you want his character to just change "all of sudden" (knowing him have problem with cold weather anything related to cold) without showing character growth? I would not.

I Love it that they have a ML that is just not alpha male compared to other ML's they are trying to sell in dramas.

She is clever. And it honestly makes sense, if ever YWS wants to pretend and makes her opponent think that she is weak. But in the end, they'll realize she's not. Especially YWS "loyalty" (and I used the word loyalty lightly) is with GZY and she knew that SGQ's is with GSJ & GYZ.

but then again, these is just my own thinking. We'll see as the drama unfolds.

I don't think the underwater kiss is meant to be romantic. She has to "kiss" him to get some oxygen in him or some sort, because if YWS will grab GZY body above water, that is more unbelievable. Even on the pond, before the "real kiss" GZY trying to give her oxygen or some sort to wake her up. The "real kiss' happens when YWS opened her eyes.

I agree with this. I know it doesn't make sense but YWS actions has been calculated. It looks odd and honestly stupid, like WHY? but in the end, it has been a gain for her.

She probably wants to think that SQ has a hand on her, but in the end, it is the opposite. I just cannot wait how this drama unfolds.

from the get go, I don't think YWS is a chi. But what I noticed from all her actions in this drama, it is calculated. She has a motive for doing what is she has been doing. SGQ otherwise, started as chi and leveled up to mei. There was a conversation of that in the previous episodes. But anyway, she probably wants to think SGQ is more have a hand on her by acting weak. YWS sword fight with JF, who now we know his real identity, just proves that YWS is not weak at all.

So far, when YWS does something, it is a gain for her. Even her sword fight with JF revealing that complicated technique and JF asked her, but she got out of that with her explanation. And proved that she can survive the back hill & be with GZY for his trial. Every YWS's move is calculated.

This is the beauty of this drama, it keeps us in our toes and just keeps on guessing..
