It could have definitely been done in a better way. For example: adding footnotes to explain what the word means or why it's significant. Like what SevenSeas Publishing did when they translated the KinnPorsche novels (Ik Allure is self-published but yk what I mean).

I'm really sad I disliked the book because I enjoyed the pilot! The story is really intriguing but the writing is just not it for me... I will probably still watch the show (the first ep at least) but please take the novel with a grain of salt.
If you read it and enjoyed it, I'm genuinely happy for you and respect your opinion. 😊

-There are countless grammar and spelling mistakes (my biggest complaint)
-The margins are really wide compared to other novels
-The dialogue doesn't make sense half the time and it's cringy and unrealistic
-"Major" character traits are mentioned once and then never shown or brought up again
-The characters get together too fast (the story is marketed as an enemies-to-lovers, but the MCs get together in the first ~>50 pages)
-There are moments that just seem to be thrown in to reach a page/word count
-The mom's redemption arc comes out of nowhere after she's absent from the story for ~5 chapters (+ it's kinda unbelievable that Dao just forgives her immediately)
-The "plot twist" is predictable
-I can't believe I'm complaining about this, but there are TOO MANY nc scenes! It feels like 3/4 of the book are just sex scenes and they aren't even that good. 😩
There are probably more issues I noticed but those are the main ones.

I even let a few of my coworkers read parts of it and one of them said "This is basically just self-published fan fiction... and I don't mean that in a positive way..." another said "It seems like the author didn't get an editor or if she did, they didn't know what they were doing..." 😬

Also the author throws out random Thai words/concepts/locations and basically expects the reader to know what they are.
Ex: "Naaa" (Please), "Khap/Ka" (male/female end particle respectively or Yes), "Phi" (older sibling or a term of endearment), "Wai" (Thai greeting gesture), etc. This could have been solved by using footnotes, like what Seven Seas does when they translate Chinese and Thai BL novels.

The story was just way too slow. Also, the captions on WeTv were whack af and super inaccurate, so I couldn't understand about 90% of the dialogue. Because of this, I skipped over 3/4ths of the show ( I only watched one full ep 😬).
I'm also disappointed bc I loved Kimmon's acting in "City Of Stars," but here, it was just frustrating... (¬_¬")
I hate giving shows less than a 7, but this one deserved it (I rated it a 6)... (ᵕ•_•)

Hold up. The end of ep 4 made it seem like this whole series is just a show within a show, and Top and Mick are playing actors who play their characters in each episode. Because they are very clearly in outfits from Ep 3/4 and are told by a director, then Pun (Top's character) references Parinth from Ep 2. Am I tweaking??
If that is the direction this is going, I want them to expand on it and not just shove it in the background as a one-off thing.

Omg the continuity errors with the poster was driving me insane when I first watched this last year! There's a TMNT poster for the comic series that started publication in 2015 and I got SO CONFUSED-

This show could have easily been 8 or 10 episodes instead of only 6. I feel like they needed a bit more time to fully flesh out the characters and make it flow perfectly
