US MDLs, this is now available to stream with an Amazon Prime account! Subs are a bit wonky but the picture quality is so much better than the crappy Daily Motion stream I used in 2020.
Just started this drama, 2 episodes in. Told my husband, “I’m getting some Aubrey Plaza vibes from the FL,” and he agrees. I love Aubrey Plaza so the resemblance and bizarro April vibes are daebak!
After watching ⚽️⚽️ to the wall dramas like Healer, Run-On was so relaxing! I even enjoyed the second leads story. Sometimes I need a cute palate cleanser with a bit of romance, a bit of family drama, and a lot of fun banter.
This show is really putting me in a tough spot... I myself can't decide whether I like it or not... At first the…
I agree 100%. I don’t know if I’m going to stick it out. It’s like, will the two storylines eventually converge? Perhaps on the fantasy front I’m personally spoiled by Goblin, Mr Queen, and Chicago Typewriter.
It's kinda sad when you don't really care about what will happen with any of the characters. I really like Park…
Abyss was my first K-drama so it has a special place in my heart (although in retrospect it was a hot mess and I didn’t know any better). I sought out Oh My Ghost and Strong Woman Do Bong Soon because of the delightful Park Bo Young. I feeling rather “meh” about DAYS and that makes me sad.
To All the Guys Who Loved Me...the first episode started so strong and became a jacked-up mess. It became a round-robin of phone calls, coffee dates, and bitchy comments...lather, rinse, repeat. I even bitched about it in my journal. Why did I hate-watch to the end?
I want to watch this but I worry that it will scare me, I hate all things related to death/ghosts/scary stuff.…
I think iZombie was scarier at times but OMG that show is awesome! Our zombie reminds me of Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (a Carebear with fangs).
I’m an older version of you! I discovered K-dramas Summer 2019 and fell in love. My home office used to be decorated with Taylor Swift and Doctor Who...now it’s covered in Goblin, Mystic Pop-Up Bar, and Mamamoo. When my husband came home from a 3month business trip I was like, “You’re watching Coffee Prince with me!”
For me the dramas are an escape from the S—- Show that’s the US right now. They let me day-dream of traveling, cheer on the plucky heroine like Do Bong Soon and Gil Ra Im, and wish for a sexy Goblin or a 9-Tailed Fox of my own.
I’m waiting until this is at least halfway over because I know I’ll want to binge watch; need to wait for the subbers to work their magic. Plus I want to watch with my husband (he puts up with my K-drama obsession).
I can highly recommend “iZombie” on Netflix. Dr. Liv Moore gets turned into a zombie (get it, Live Moore?) and works in the morgue, eating brains and solving crimes. It’s more in the funny zombie realm so it’s awesome!
Train to Busan introduced me to Gong Yoo so it’s got a special place in my heart...so much so I’m wearing anKim Shin t-shirt right now!
If you like British stuff definitely find the original UK version. John Simm (Doctor Who) was wonderful! And there’s a sequel, Ashes to Ashes, that was set in the 80’s. Plus U.K. shows (besides Doctor Who) are like K-dramas with nice, short seasons/series (looking at you, Supernatural!).
I’m on episode 15 and have turned into a one-person MST3K, yelling/cursing at the characters and rolling my eyes so hard I see my brain. I’m in this far so I’ll stick it out for my #2 K-Boyfriend Hyun Bin. Shhhh...don’t tell my husband.
The OST I come back to is Goblin. The opening theme makes me close my eyes and wish I could go back to Quebec and run into Kim Shin. Plus I’m a sucker for any OST with Mamamoo.
An example of a let-down would be Abyss. I fell into K-dramas late last summer when I watched the preview and was intrigued by the concept. My husband and I enjoyed it but they overplayed the two main songs so much that had we started a drinking game we would’ve passed out. After the 15th time of hearing the same song it became eye-rollingly cringy.
